List of Uconn Health's Reviews
I relocated back to CT a few months ago. Before I left UConn was where all my physicians were. My first visit to the actual UConn facility in over 30 years was earlier this month. Because I had a stroke and several TIAs I made an appointment to see a neurologist. I made an appointment with Leeman-Markowski, Mason, MD. You all can thank him for me canceling every appointment with every other physician from UConn and most of my procedures. When asked about my history of drug and alcohol use I told the truth. I have been cocaine free for a little over 18 years and I still have a beer when I feel like it, which isn't often. Leeman-Markowski, Mason, MD took it upon himself to put in My Chart that I also used heroin, which was a lie. I called his office and asked if the note about heroin use could be removed from My Chart because it is not, has not and never will be true. His office staff left an untrue note in My Chart regarding our phone conversation. I sent a message via My Chart to the doctor and this is his response... Dear Ms. Robinson, Thank you for letting me know the discrepancy. I will remove it from my note, but am not able to take it from other physician's notes. Therefore, I started a process in which this will be systematically (across all the chart) corrected. Sincerely, Dr. Leeman-Markowski He has since removed the damming note, however; the damage has already been done. All of the above is the reason I will not recommend UConn to anyone.
Can't even get through to talk to someone to get an appt - and when you do the reps are rude to say the least. And this has happened at different offices. They have an automated call system which is awful. And some want referrals before you can make an appt - EVEN THOUGH THE PARTICULAR WEBSITE does not say anything about referrals. Having had a pleasant experience prior to now - I have changed my mind. I have gone to Boston where none of this occurs - living, breathing people answer the phones - EVERY TIME, their demeanor is pleasant & they go out of their way to help you. So UCONN HEALTH - you promote yourself as being a top university health facility but fail the people who actually need services.
Jaime Imitola is the absolute worst neurologist I have ever met. If I could give no stars I would!! He made me feel very dismissed and that I wasn’t experiencing any of my mama symptoms (even though I was diagnosed prior to meeting him.) This guy was 45 minutes late to our appointment and the entire time he was with me he kept checking his watch, making me feel pressured/rushed. I did not learn anything from this appointment and if I did it would be that I have no say in what we do! (More like what would be done to me.) I am still waiting to start my infusions and this place just keeps sending me to voicemail. I need treatment ASAP, but obviously ms is a minor problem to them. I’m currently looking for a new neurologist. Thanks to this place I have never felt more alone and left in the dark.
Uconn Geriatrics is by far is the worst office I have ever dealt with. Everytime I make an appointment for my elderly mother they randomly change it to another day. They have no consideration for anyone. I have driven to a to a scheduled appointment only to find out they changed it. Not reliable in case of an emergency you will be forced to go to a take an elderly person to a walk in clinic. They book appointments six months in advance and then cancel them. They just don't care about their elderly patients. Very upsetting.
My doctor is open and honest.
Such a radical change from when I was a graduate student in 2001! I brought a relative here for his second SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. Very impressive.
Well have get temperature check , no visitors waiting ,only one place to get coffee if you get to outpatient pavilion early. I was extremely unhappy I had to wait 1/2 hour for my doctor appointment...last appointment in Nov I waited 1 and 1/2 hour for my appointment. I have to get there on time but they make you wait and suffer waiting ,this I hate. some doctors don't even come in you could end seeing a dumb nurse who thinks they know it all. I think UConn needs to improve this .If some of these doctors are afraid to come because of covai d19 I think that speaks in highvolume. Be very picky when choosing a doctor. If a doctor won't come to his office during a pandemic why should you trust them?
Do not go here of you expect to be cared about. Truly have had VERYVERY bad experiences with sadistic and abusive doctors.Truly so far beyond disgusting, words cannot describe. Several doctors come to mind. Cruel treatment, unprofessional attitude and an overall lack of empathy, for a start.
They left me in the exam room for 45 minutes past my appointment start time at the Spine Center even though I was on time. I contacted Patient Relations about this and they said they would forward my issue on, they did not.The Spine Center doesn't have the courtesy or respect of their patients to let them know what is going on.
I was left for 45 minutes in the exam room at the Spine Center, no letting my know what was going on or anything, as if they had forgotten about me. I was on time for my appointment yet they didn't have the courtesy to drop by and say they were running late.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
