Above Standard of Care 💖
Horrible Communication
Excellent, start to finish.
For the most part, my husband has very good treatment. The past four days I have come to this hospital and the visitor lot is full. I can clearly view staff strolling to their cars in the visitor lot. Today, my husband is having a procedure at 10:30am and there was not even one space. JDH I know you can do better and allow for visitors to have a place to park. Thank you.
I just want to say after having a HORRIBLE experience from my own hometown waterbury hospital, who didn't do much to help me at all. Then coming to Uconn Hospital with the same exact symptoms in excruciating pain, the ED staff and doctors took care of me immediately!! All were soooo nice. The funny thing is I work here and you don't know everyone , so they didnt immediately know that I'm a uconn staff worker. It was nice to see that even with them not knowing right away that they treated me with so much care. Makes me proud to be apart of the uconn team. Then I Got transferred to MED 3 ❤❤ from day staff all the way to night staff I absolutely love. Thank u Uconn, because I was in soooo much pain and was sent home bent over in pain from waterbury hospital to being completely taken care of and feeling soooo much better.
Worked here as a contract nurse in the ICU and absolutely loved it. Amazing nurses to work with that go above and beyond every day. Loved my manager. Overall just a great and very respectful workplace.
I want to thank UConn hospital. I’m new to CT and the few medical facilities I’ve been to I wasn’t impressed. But thank god we were not far from UConn when my kidney stones got to be to much. They were very professional and they seemed concerned. They renewed my views I had on CT medical doctors.

I have been in UConn's John Dempsey Hospital many times. Each time I found the doctors, nurses, and most of the aides to be caring and happy to be of service to the patients. The nurses work very hard many times given up to 8 patients or more to take care of in a shift. My husband went through cancer with a dr and staff of the hospital and his care was outstanding. Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
