I've been going to Dr. Vella for going on nearly 30 years. Only once in all those years did I not see him at an appointment. He actually saved my life. After 20 years of my saying no no no, he finally talked me into a non invasive procedure that resulted in life saving surgery. I've always been a difficult patient, a nervous nelly. Dr. Vella has always had patience with me. I like and trust him and I hope he never retires. He's a very good doctor.

Dr. Vella is good doctor, but I agree with previous negative reviews. In the past few years I only get a PA or NP, am billed for services I didn't get, one in particular for a 15 minute "physical", which was supposed to be an annual wellness visit covered by Medicare. Double charged me for service I did not ask for. They're all about money, no one there knows anything about the overcharges. PA misdiagnosed a serious iillness, just takes vitals and updates your files. Will never go back!

I went to this practice for years and NEVER saw Dr. Vella. I was always seen by a NP. Between never seeing Dr. Vella, receiving the wrong treatment plan from their NP, and being over-billed for services and then having to spend the time fighting their rude billing department to get the billing rectified, I cannot give this practice a great rating. Based on experience, ProHealth Physicians is just in it for the money.

I have had Dr Vella as my Primary Care Physician since the age of nine or ten (26 years total). I can’t say enough good things about him and his staff. I have been through a lot serving my country and we’re other doctor have rushed me out of there office to make a quick dime, Dr Vella takes the extra time not only to diagnose the issue, he will address any concerns you may have. So long as I live within 2 hours of Dr Vella I will continue to be a patient of his. He is an amazing physician.

All about the $$$. Never saw the Dr., only NP. Nickel and dimed for everything. You have to be aware and only have them do what you request, or they will add on everything they can to make the price go up. What a shame.

I have been with Doctor Vella for 20+ years. He is very professional. He follows up with referrals and recommendations as needed. He has good bedside manner. He gives you his undivided attention during appointments. He is always on time! He's the best!
