Waited 15 mins past my scheduled time to be called in by his assistant. Spent about 5 mins with her and waited another 10 for him to come in. He walks in and acts like he's in a hurry to go home (last appointment of the day), he spends about 6 mins dismissing my issue as trivial and repeats himself several times "relax, you'll be fine". I have been googling ways to handle my health problem as he didn't seem too interested in talking about it.

visited the office twice. once pre-covid, once during. both times I spent a ridiculous amount of time waiting in the exam room after being seen by the nurse. the first visit i was alone long enough to fall asleep on the exam table and for the motion sensor lights in the exam room to shut off the light. the second visit I decided to just leave after 30+ min of waiting with no one checking on me after being seen by the nurse which was over an hour past my appointment time. clearly Dr Herlands does not care enough to be on time and his staff does not care enough to check in with waiting patients so I don't care enough to keep him on as my PCP.

awful. he'scondesending,doesn't listen, thinks he knows everything,asks you where you want him to fax prescriptions, sends them to the wrong store,unfortunately,i'mstuck,i can't keep dr.shopping !!!

I have been seeing Dr Herlands for several years. I have only requested that he call me back when I was really sick and he never did that. He rarely returns phone calls. He does not check his charts regarding when to order meds and I have had meds delivered when I did not order them. I have had many problems with Pro-Health doctors and I have yet to find a good one that will return my calls and order meds when I need them. I think many of them are very lazy and like to put on a good face and then get rid of you after 15 minutes.

The nurse is rude and unprofessional. she mixed up my file with another patient, didn't realize it after spent 10 minutes with me, sent in the PA instead of Dr. Herlands (when questioned, she said she didn't make the appointment). After the PA realized the mistake, I waited another 20 minutes before seeing the doctor. no one made an apology for the mistake.

If you are really sick and need to speak to him he will not return your phone calls. I call it lazy.

Dr. Herlands is probably a skilled doctor, but he has a father-knows-best attitude which disempowers patients. When I needed a procedure, he failed to inform be about the options, simply recommending to me what he thought was best. When I objected, he was able to give me info; I decided to accept his original plan, but he then went behind my back to cancel the procedure. I am leaving the practice because of this disrespect for my personhood.

Dr Herlans is always late for appointments and then cuts the visit short because he is running late. You can only talk on one subject, before he walks out. Also, he never inquires about results of any previous treatments.
