List of Amory Fiore's Reviews
Dr.Fiore had to redo a spine surgery that went poorly from a NYC hospital. My result with Dr. Fiore could not have gone any better. He is not a Neurosurgeon who is quick to throw patients into the OR, but if necessary does a beautiful job with minimally invasive spine surgery whenever possible. Honest, direct and humble, you will have a hard time finding a more skilled Neurosurgeon in the NY metro area. I’d like to give him 100 stars. Thank you Dr. Fiore.
A first class/world class doctor. Thoroughly professional, incredibly efficient, very personable. I had the very best diagnosis, treatment and surgery with dr fiore and highly recommend him. He put an end to all my pain.
Dr. Fiore performed a five level spinal fusion on me that went perfectly. Before the surgery he mentioned that he would also do something during the surgery to improve my posture. He did just that and I remain in awe. A humble doctor he is also one of the top ranked Neurosurgeons in the NY Metro area by several magazines (incl. New York magazine) and many many happy patients. He most often avoids surgery when he can and has recommended several alternatives to friends I have referred to him. I trust his judgement 100% . He is also up on all the latest minimally invasive surgery techniques. Dr. Fiore combines the best qualities you want in your doctor/Neurosurgeon as well as a caring human being with a lovely bedside manner.
Very poor judgment! Poor diagnosis. Poor execution. Recommended surgery when not needed, resulting in permanent nerve damage. Unable to diagnose same months after surgery. Do not recommend!
Poor judgment; too quick to recommend surgery. Too inexperienced to diagnose properly. I would not recommend this surgeon or ONS for that matter! HHS now has offices in Stamford and operating privileges at Stamford Hospital. A much better choice!
Best dr. I’ve ever met! Super knowledgeable, straight to the point, highly skilled surgeon. Had my lower back (L4/5) surgery with him...it’s been 10 years now, yearly follow up...never felt better...struggled with lower back pain for over 15 years...wouldn’t recommend anyone else but him for back surgery.
Very poor diagnostician. Little regard for post operative patient care. I would definitely not recommend!
Very poor judgment. Too eager to recommend surgery when other options are available and more logical. Poor diagnostic skills, as well as patient relations.
Very poor judgement. I was encouraged to have back surgery that was unnecessary, resulting in permanent nerve damage. A malpractice suit was brought against Dr. Fiore, and a complaint has been filed with the CT. Board of Health. I do not recommend using this surgeon under any circumstances!
Very disappointed in Dr. Fiore. Performed unnecessary surgery that resulted in nerve damage that he failed to diagnose. Have not been able to properly work since. Pending lawsuit. Do not recommend Dr. Fiore!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
