Dr Brian Kavanagh is the best of the best! His experience and knowledge was life changing for me. The staff members were always helpful and supportive as well as Dr Kavanagh's contact person always responded to a question or concern.

Dr Kavanagh lived up to the reputation that led my choosing him to perform my total knee replacement.

I have had two hip replacement surgeries with Dr Kavanagh and both went extremely well.

Dr. Kavanagh gave me a total right knee replacement in August 2020 at Greenwich hospital. Before the operation, I could barely ski, limited racquet sports and golf, even poor sleep due to the pain in my knee. I now walk for miles and play all my sports with absolutely no pain and will be skiing again this winter. I would highly recommend Dr. Kavanagh and his team. They are extremely qualified and thorough and very helpful with follow up advice. Office visits were prompt with little waiting time.

Kavanagh has a no nonsense and straight forward approach to patients. He's a great surgeon. You'll not find a better surgeon anywhere for hip or knee replacement.UPDATE - 4 Years since my TKR - Dr. Kavanagh is a gifted surgeon. It's been 4 years since my surgery and my knee feels so normal that I actually forget that I had a knee replacment. I have no pain or swelling, and my range is a full 140 degrees. I feel fantastic! I cycle several times per week for about 25 miles each trip. Having this surgery with Dr. Kavanagh was a very good decision for me. It changed my life. I highly recommend him for a surgeon.

The office staff was great, and the wait time as not bad at all. However I found Dr. Kavanagh to be unfriendly and distracted during my appointment. He may have just been having an off day, but he seemed quite uninterested and rushed. Very disappointed, as he came highly recommended. This was my first and last visit.

I began researching my options and learned about a relatively new surgical procedure called minimally invasive quad sparing total knee replacement. It turns out that I was a good candidate. At two weeks post surgery, I no longer walked with a cane. At four weeks, I began driving. Now, at six weeks, I am returning to work and also to my regular activities. If you have knee pain and aren't sure where to turn, I highly recommend a consultation with Dr. Brian Kavanagh. He will definitely point you in the right direction, the first time.
