Dr. Kowalsky did my surgery to repair fractured clavicle after a bike accident. It needed pins and plates. I appreciated his bedside manner as when you go pre-surgery you are NOT feeling well and I was not so cheerful. Post collarbone surgery for your checkups you improve immediately! Unfortunately I had this surgery on my other collar bone years ago and knew what to expect. I was happy with the outcome, recovery time, scar, etc. His office was helpful as well.

Being a long time sports medicine professional myself, I was very impressed with Dr K's direct but not overly aggressive opinion regarding my surgery. My experience was humbling as this was my first time having any type of "procedure", Dr K and staff were easy to talk to, truly accessible and overall ONS was what a professional team is all about, my journey to recovery ahead of schedule and my surgeon I could easily recommend

The care I received from Marc was truly first class. I had a badly torn right shoulder rotator cuff and torn bicep tendon, injured playing paddle tennis. Marc diagnosed the injury and operated quickly. He explained the surgery and post-operative care in great detail. I have just completed 6 months and am feeling healthy and strong again. Dr K repaired my knee in the spring. I've had complete recovery from my fall; so pleased that I surpassed his timeline . He spent time with me and my family throughout. His manner and professionalism was impressive and appreciated.

Dr. Kowalsky repaired a significant knee injury for me involving reattaching my meniscus to the bone. While the rehab was long, I just completed a 70 mile back country Yosemite hike carrying 35 pounds in my pack without any pain at all. Dr. Kowalsky is a skilled surgeon, and his responsiveness and accessibility is among the best I have experienced in doctors.

An amazingly talented surgeon, Dr. Kowalsky should be your go to for any shoulder, knee or other related needs. He operated on my shoulder and bicep and they have returned to near full function with very little pain or difficulty in healing, with, of course, additional related physical therapy. I would send anyone to him without reservation. Five stars. Phenomenal.

I met Dr. Kowalsky the day after I took a bad fall. I arrived to his office in pain - I was sure I wasn't supposed to be in that much pain. Dr. Kowalsky took so great care in our initial examination, while reassuring me this was something he could help me with. An MRI the following day or two later revealed the damage to my right shoulder. Dr. Kowalsky asked me to come to his office to discuss the results. I am most impressed and always appreciative of the time Dr. Kowalsky takes with me. Each detail of the injury and surgery needed was explained thoroughly. Always one to have a million questions, I was comforted by the meticulous answers and concern for my particular situation. Great Doctor! My son required surgery for his broken shoulder. All went well and now he has full motion back! Dr. Kowalsky took the time to explain our options and answer all our questions. He also wasn't afraid to say he wasn't sure about something and he wanted to consult with colleagues. We had a wonderful experience!

From start to finish Dr Kowalsky & his office set a gold standard for orthopedics. Laid out the options, pros/cons, made them relevant in layman’s terms & real life examples. Follow up visits to the Gwich office + PT clinic was always quick & easy and staff were friendly.Nice guy, great doctor / practice.
