List of Seth Miller's Reviews
I have had 2 knee replacements, and 2 shoulder replacements; all done at Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Specialists. My shoulder surgeon was Dr. Seth Miller and I cannot sing his praises loud enough. From the first time I went to his office in Greenwich, CT, I was impressed. He is extremely knowledgeable and explained everything about my condition, what type of surgery he recommended, what risks there were, and answered every other question I came up with. He told me that it was an elective surgery so it was up to me if I wanted to have it or not. There was no pressure and he even gave me two of his former patient's contacts so I could ask them how their surgeries went. I decided to postpone the surgery until the following spring, after I returned from FL. So I scheduled it for May, 2020. In March, 2020 I was in FL, and the COVID lockdown happened. I was in touch with Dr. Miller via video call, and his office and support staff were wonderful-keeping me in the loop about if and when the surgery would take place, sending me written material about the surgery. Throughout, Dr. Miller was calm and thoughtful, and even as I was anxious and nervous about all of it, he reassured me that things would work out. The surgery was successful and even as I was going to PT afterwards, he gave me his recommended exercises and stretches for my new shoulder. I did the second shoulder a year later with similar results. I would highly recommend Dr. Seth Miller as an excellent surgeon, good communicator and a doctor who listens and cares about his patients.
Dr. Miller gave me the best shoulder replacement possible but he also afforded me his caring backup answers to questions I gave him over the last 6 months of my recovery. He is the perfect surgeon!Flo Sinsheimer
One of the best doctors I’ve ever had. Replaced both shoulders - first one went so well decided to go back for my second. Everybody on his team is caring and responsive. I can’t recommend him highly enough
Every aspect of care was professional, courteous and pleasant. All questions answered with patience and understanding. The surgical results could not have been better. Highly recommended.
Dr. Seth Miller repaired my shoulder – a damaged rotator cuff -- in August of 2021. He has a very friendly and professional approach. I feel very comfortable working with him and have confidence in his knowledge, skill and experience. Also, I felt very comfortable having surgery at that time, despite Covid-19, because the ONS practice has its own dedicated ambulatory surgery center. The medical staff on the day of the procedure was outstanding. The initial post-surgery follow up was handled by an excellent Physician’s Assistant, Kevin Hwang. Because of a prior medical issue, I had a glitch with my recovery once PT went into full swing. Kevin worked closely with my PT team to adjust the strategy. Since then, I’ve made strong and steady progress. Dr. Miller and all of the staff at ONS who I’ve worked with have been fantastic. Five months post-surgery, my range of motion is almost completely restored, and my strength is steadily increasing. I’m grateful to all of them for restoring my shoulder after injuring it in a fall. I highly recommend Dr. Seth Miller for help with shoulder issues.
For years I dealt with left shoulder pain which, over time, became increasingly debilitating and impacted the active lifestyle to which I was accustomed. I resisted seeing an orthopedist because of horror stories I had heard about shoulder surgeries. But eventually, everyday activities became more tedious and painful. Stellar reviews, as well as, a successful hip replacement surgery in 2019 with ONS surgeon, Dr. Frank Ennis, led me to Dr. Seth Miller. He did not disappoint! X-rays confirmed severe arthritis and a complete chronic tear of the the rotator cuff. Dr. Miller performed a reverse left shoulder replacement in September 2021. True to his word, the result was minimal discomfort and a relatively painless recovery. I was discharged from the hospital 7 hours post surgery. No pain meds necessary! He's a wonderfully knowledgeable, skillful, and humble surgeon. My sole regret is that I hadn't found Dr. Miller years earlier!!
Dismissive, arrogant and he misdiagnosed me. I had a terrible experience with him personally. DO NOT GO TO HIM!!!
Dr. Miller is simply the best! Two years ago he performed a reverse shoulder replacement on me. I healed quickly and it was a very successful surgery as well as recovery. I have rheumatoid arthritis and it hit all of my Big joints. A dear friend who had shoulder replacement at the same time as I with a different doctor in upstate New York did not have a good outcome at all! After a year of physical therapy, the doctor blamed her. At my advice she went to Dr. Miller and he redid the botched surgery and now her arm is perfect! He is simply the best!
As a dentist very reluctant to undergo shoulder replacement surgery, I can now share my personal journey with ONS and most. particularly Dr. Seth Miller. Now, 10 days post surgery from day one I have not needed to use any pain medication from ..My preoperative care was professional and caring.I have no memory of the procedure and asked to see my post operative xray at my follow up visit to verify that indeed my shoulder joint was now metallic.I searched for the right surgeon and practice and am thrilled to share I found both...
It is my pleasure to write the highest praises for Dr. Seth Miller at ONS who has performed successful rotator cuff surgery on both my shoulders. He and I were at Columbia in the late 80’s, me as a Urology resident and he as a Neer Shoulder fellow. Dr. Neer was the father of the modern shoulder prosthesis (1955) and Seth was fortunate to be one of his last fellows to reap in his vast clinical knowledge. I injured my right shoulder 15 years ago but tried conservative PT until 5 years ago when I needed excision of the AC joint and removal of a painful bony spur. Seth did a thorough evaluation in April and got me through work and golf season with a steroid injection at PT and I had successful surgery in Nov. Fast forward 5 years and I was exercising too much during Covid and in April I sustained a high grade tear of my left Supraspinatus. I had my MRI and evaluation by Seth and he said since I had full range of motion that he could try to get me through golf season and all my Urology scheduled surgeries and office hours until X mass vacation. I tried extensive PT, Acupuncture, Electrical stimulation and even Platelet rich plasma- none of which worked. Two days ago I went to the beautiful new Stanford ONS Ambulatory Surgery Center and was treated spectacularly through every step of the process. Seth called my wife immediately post op and came out and showed me the pictures of the successful surgery. He is so thorough, kind and compassionate. He always has a reassuring humble smile as he explains that everything is going to be fine and he doesn’t pressure you to do surgery till conservative alternatives are tried first. He was trained by the best and is the best’s legacy. I have friends at and was also evaluated at HSS and Joint Disease in NYC. ONS is so organized, caring and efficient. This kind of treatment is worth the drive up from NYC and the entire tri-state region. There are no long waits for appointments. They also have urgent care walk in availability for emergencies. Thanks Seth and everyone at ONS. I am writing this review and had more pain pre-op than post-op. The wonderful Nerve block has worn off. I am returning my shoulder ice machine. Unheard of.Sincerely,Benjamin C. H. Peng, MDSent from my iPhone

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
