Pinar Kodaman Md's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Kodaman is amazing; I can’t recommend her enough. I’ve been working with her at Yale for 1.5 years, and she has consistently proven to be not only a brilliant, skilled and deeply knowledgeable clinician, but a kind, compassionate & thoughtful human being. I can honestly say that the care I’ve received with Dr Kodaman and many of the fellows at Yale REI, has been some of the best in my life. Surgeries and retrievals at YNH Hospital have been superior, seamless and tailored to my comfort, personal decisions about care & utterly professional. In consultations, Dr. Kodaman always takes the time to fully explain all options, her reasoning for a course of treatment in IVF, and the scientific processes of procedures, clinical events and outcomes. When I had an ectopic pregnancy, she (while on vacation) & a fellow spoke directly with the hospital to ensure my care. She is always patient, has A+ prof boundaries, is empathetic, and respectfully listens. I trust her entirely with my care. MJB

I’ve been seeing this doctor for years, and I can’t thank her enough for everything she’s helped with. I had infertility issues due to cancer and precancerous conditions. She has amazing bedside manner, has preformed multiple surgeries on me and even cured my precancerous endometrial issue! I cant thank her enough and can’t wait to start the IVF process with her, she offered other options but between the doctors, a second specialist I consulted, and my spouse and i, we felt that IVF was the best option for me.

This doctor is very unprofessional. She is condescending and untrustworthy. I specifically asked, prior to surgery, for her not to have her intern work on me and found out that she did so anyway, which explains the additional cut that was made, in close proximity to the one that was initially to be made. I had an inside source, this is how I know about the intern. Additionally, she stated something to me that was insulting during a follow up visit. Not sure if she is a racist, but I would not have allowed her to perform the surgery, had she said the comment prior.

The only good thing that comes out of this experience was that I got pregnant, her nurses they are horrible I had to keep following up with them constantly for them to knowledge my case, don’t get me wrong few of the receptionist was pretty cool . (Nurse Donna) she was the WORST I’m just going to leave it as that . u only see Dr. Kodmen onece are twice Throughout the whole procedure, honestly all the care about is if u have insurance..

I can’t even begin to explain what a godsend Dr. Kodaman was to me. I had been hemorrhaging from a fibroid for almost a year, and she completely removed it and gave me my life back. Her kindness, expertise, and helpful and empathetic staff comforted me beyond what words can say. I highly recommend her! 5 stars isn’t enough.

Would never see her again. I made a follow up appointment two months ago to meet with her. I get to the office ( mind you I work in Bristol & drove like a crazy person to get to new Haven in time) for them to tell me I wasn't listed for an apt. The staff there is completely useless. I really needed to meet with her & got very upset in the office. They did offer for me to meet with a man that I've never met -which who wants to do that?) they never reached out to apologize so I will never go back

I’ve been a patient for the past few years. I would no longer recommend this doctor. Bedside manner has gone way down hill. If have problem visit they’re always unavailable and unwilling to see patients and discuss important test results. Nurses and fellows don’t report symptoms to the doctor. Extra long wait times for and between appointments. Doctor and nurse staff were obvious to symptoms that should of been addressed.

Dr. Kodaman is an outstanding surgeon and fertility doctor. Recommend for anyone who is having fertility issues to see Dr. Kodaman. Her staff is great too.

Amazing doctor, however the staff could use a attitude adjustment

The office staff is completely inept. A lay person may see them as adequate, but working in health care myself, I can tell you they are uneducated, bumbling, and poor communicators. I had numerous problems with scheduling and messages being passed to the doctor incorrectly, or not at all. As for the doctor herself, she is excellent, attentive, smart, and reassuring. However, I trust her a little less, because the quality of the staff reflects poorly on her.
