I’ve never wrote a review on a provider before but this was a great doctor and the first time I really felt listen to and comfortable, I was extremely nervous going into my first appointment with Dr. Lavy and honestly a bit embarrassed to talk about the issues I was having. Dr. Lavy has excellent bedside manners. He took the time to listen to me, he was easy to talk to.

I saw Dr lobby about a month and a half ago and he recognized me taking metamucil. Well I started about 3 weeks ago and things went good for a couple of days. Within the first week I became bloated and constipated. My toilet was blocked. I had to take a laxative in order to go. I told Dr lavi that I was at a high fiber diet but he suggested me adding the metamucil. So I cut the dose in half but the problem is persisted. This Monday I called his office to ask him what to do.. I called at 9:00 a.m. it was told his nurse would call me back in 24 to 48 hours. That was 3 days ago. When I called his office today it went to voicemail and I left a message and no call back. I'm very disappointed

Dr. Lavy is now in practice at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston Florida--he works with Dr. Stephen Wexner, a renowned colorectal surgeon---I recently had surgery there and Dr Lavy was part of the team of surgeons--it was complicated surgery and I found Dr Lavy to have, in addition to knowledge and skill, an abundance of kindness and compassion--I was vulnerable and in discomfort and his cheerful smile and attention to what I was saying was so helpful. He listened and cared.
