Wonderful, caring, thoughtful doctor. He operated on me years ago and the entire experience went smoothly from start to finish. I have never felt so comfortable and reassured by any doctor since.

I have never experienced such poor pain management on day 2 after major surgery. I am totally disillusioned. He seemed so nice. Now I feel punished and miserable.

I love Dr. Mayer. I came to his practice after being treated horribly by Dr. Heather Einstein at Hartford Hospital. Dr. Mayer's whole staff is warm and caring and I feel very comfortable there. He has been very comforting and easy to talk to.

Doctor Mayer is an outstanding kind man who puts his patients needs first. He listens to what his patients have to say, he answers any and all questions in a way so that the patient does not walk away from the appointment confused. Dr. Mayer's knowledge is up to date and quite impressive.

I consulted with Dr. Mayer Feb. 2019 and found him to be a caring, attentive professional who puts you at ease. Dr. Mayer answers all questions and listens carefully to your every concern. You receive all the benefits of his years of experience but with a focused attention as if you were a priority patient. At the end of my appointment, Dr. Mayer took extra time printing additional helpful reference material. To consult with an oncologist can be unnerving but you leave his office confident.

Dr. Allan Mayer has been my DO since discovering that I had vaginal cancer in December, 2017. He operated to remove the cancer several months later. I cannot recommend Dr. Mayer more highly. He is very special man, a wonderful friend and a superb doctor. He got all the cancer during a long surgery and he has been diligent in follow up since then to be sure that it does not return. I would give Dr. Mayer ten stars on a rating of 1-5!

Dr. Mayer is a superlative doctor, surgeon and person. He is strongly committed to his profession, has had years of experience and makes you feel comfortable from the first minute you meet him. He performed extensive surgery for me; the whole experience was so much easier than I had envisioned. I recommend him heartily and without reservation for any type of surgery performed in the Comprehensive Women's Center at St. Francis.
