List of Cardiac Care Associates's Reviews
Terrible. Starts out well enough. I finished up my tests and a week later they send me the results that say everything is fine. I call the office as they had me scheduled to come in, which would have involved me having to take time off from work, and I asked if the appointment was necessary. They said the doctor likes to discuss the results in person. Ok, fine. I go in and the doctor spends all of five minutes talking me basically what the aforementioned test reports told me and then leaves. The cost for this drive-by visit? $191.87. I told my primary care doctor to find me a new cardiologist, because I won't be heading back to Cardiac Care any time soon.
This place might be OK if you don't need your records transferred anywhere. I asked this practice help me, as I needed my records sent to the FAA. They said they would. I provided details, of what to send, from the FAA. The FAA reviewed and rejected as insufficient. This is after a 2-month wait for review. On the 2nd attempt, I personally collected the the records (a pain), and sent myself. I am not a cardiologist, so I couldn't evaluate what CCA gave me. I sent all I was given and after another 2-month wait, you guessed it, the FAA rejected as insufficient. In trying to gather and verify the correct data, I was told I was harrassing them, and they (the staff) cancelled my appointment with the doctor. If you are a pilot with an FAA Medical Certificate, don't count on CCA to help you.
If I could give no stars I would. I had to wear a monitor for a week because of AFIB. THEY HAD RESULTS WHICH WERE ABNORMAL FOR A WEEK AND NO ONE CALLED TO TELL ME. THEY HAD RESULTS ON 3/17. I went and picked up results told them I was changing doctors. This Doctors office does not care about their patients. Find another Doctor that will take you seriously.
Hostana, the practice administrator is unconscionably rude and frankly cruel. From my experience I feel safe concluding that she should not work any where near a medical office or with patients. Insurance forms and referrals are no fun for anyone, patient included. Even if you do your due diligence as a patient you will be treated unconscionably poor. I still can't wrap my head around just how awful and disrespectful I was treated and spoke to. The practice, Hostana specifically, cancelled an appointment the night before it was to take place because of an error on the practice's end after I scheduled off work the next day. I was upset about this but granted benefit of the doubt. I did make a misstep prior in that I went to the wrong office for a prior appointment. However, they told me just to go to the right office and I would be seen that same day. However when I showed up at the office after driving the 25 minutes there (when gas is $4/ gallon), I was turned away because it was their lunch. I granted benefit of the doubt again as it was my initial mistake. But this point is moot because of the error I mentioned prior would have meant that even had a I gone to the correct place or if they hadn't turned me away because it was their lunch, I wouldn't have been able to see the doctor anyway. I am sure there are good doctors in this practice but personnel is policy and this practice clearly has a support personnel issue. Hostana called me at 4:55pm on a Friday (while I was at work so I was unavailable) to tell me she had not yet solved the problem on the practices end and asked me to call back which I did at 4:59pm and she had closed the phone lines for the weekend. Again, fine, benefit of the doubt. I call Monday a little after 9am to confirm my referral had been received and that all systems were finally a go for my appointment. I had since scheduled an appointment online so was being proactive to make sure that I would indeed be able to be seen. The person I spoke to said yes so I finally felt like I was getting somewhere. But I guess I pushed my luck in asking if anything else was available sooner given how long I was trying to get in for an appointment. I was transferred to Hostana and she without even letting me speak said I need to find a different cardiac care practice and that she 'didn't need to explain my[her]self'. She cancelled my appointment without even telling me. I work in healthcare too, deal with the most non-compliant types of patients and I would never talk to ANYONE the way she spoke to me (even the most difficult patients). I don't know if she had me confused with someone and I don't know what was going on in her life but I would not wish her treatment on my worst enemy and the physicians in this practice should really consider if she is the best person for that role in their office.
I was referred by my primary care provided for a stress tests and a holter monitor placement, which I was told could not be done on the same day. Appointment scheduled at Reston offices. On the day of the stress test, I arrive ahead of my appoint time, checked in. After waiting past my appointment time, and inquiring as to why, I was informed that the person checking me in didn't really check me in. This resulted in my 3 hour stress test being started an hour late. The next day, I returned for my 48 hour holter placement. The person providing the instructions and placing it didn't seem to understand what was supposed to take place. After me insisting on her following the directions of my PCP's order, I left the office with the monitor in place. The next day the monitor quit functioning. I called the company as I was instructed and was told that I should have been given a backup battery because the monitor only works for 24 hours and to call the doctor's office. At this point I removed the monitor, called the office and will return it to them, VERY DISAPPOINTED in the level of patient care. Don't recommend for tests.
I have had insomnia for over half of my life. My Primary Care Physician had me on a different number of insomnia medications, but I already knew what worked for my own body. Because the prescription was Ambien, my PCP recommended that I see a sleep specialist so this is what brought me to the Heart Healthy Sleep Center where I used to receive care from Dr. Mark Miller. He had helped in the beginning and I even had two sleep studies performed, but it did not reveal anything except for mild sleep apnea. Dr. Miller wanted me to eventually "ween" off the Ambien, which I understand, but I told him it would take time since I have been taking it to help me with my insomnia for three decades. Now that we have gone through the worst year ever worldwide with the global pandemic, and myself contracting the virus, and having been so ill from it and continue to suffer health issues from it seven months later, this has caused my anxiety and insomnia to increase dramatically. Dr. Miller is also aware that I lost two close family members in late 2020, but now he flat out refuses to provide any further support to me and is stating that I need to see a psychiatrist for my "anxiety/depression disorder" or seek help from my PCP. This is just pure insanity since this just shows Dr. Mark Miller's lack of compassion and total unprofessionalism. I don't suffer from depression so I have no idea where in his small mind he created that idea. Also, my PCP was the one who informed me to see a sleep therapist for my care so why on earth would he suggest me to see the very doctor to go to him for help?? Please, if you are seeking real help with your insomnia, steer clear from this doctor that will only give up on you when they are needed the most. Dr. Mark Miller is one of the worst ones out there. ZERO stars!!! Here's his message to my pharmacist: "As I recommended before I feel that the patient would be served best by consultation with psychiatrist or her primary care for better direct management of her anxiety/depression disorder. No need for a follow-up appointment and no refill of the Ambien"
Dr. Michael Banihashemi is great. He was very kind and informative. He took his time explaining everything to my father. The staff was also very good.
Dr. Miller is an excellent doctor. He takes the time to Turley understand all the factors that may be contributing to an issue. I also appreciate Mia's coordination.
Today was my first experience with this practice. I was assisting one of our clients, an older adult, with some scheduled testing and she was a bit of a challenge (didn't want to disrobe, refused to have a test done unless the doctor performed it, etc.). The two staffers/technicians who interacted with her, Manny and Abdul, were very impressive in the way they respected her privacy, her dignity and her wishes as best as they could. They both took extra time to explain to her what they wanted to do and why it was important. I work with older adults all the time and am familiar with what type of communication works. These two gentleman clearly knew how to best talk to them and were extremely kind and patient throughout. Although I did not meet the doctors in the practice, they should be applauded for hiring and training such professionals.
Dr. Park himself was very professional and I loved his bed manner. He gave the option to use a heart monitor for 30 days and I said why not. I asked the nurse if that was covered by my insurance and she SAID YES! Reason why I went for it. However the monitor was very uncomfortable and annoying to use so I sent it back after 3-4 days. 2 days ago I received a 90 days bill statement that says I have to pay $192 for that service! I called the Monitoring Service place, they confirmed that's correct even though I barely used it (I will write a review for them as well) but the problem originated at the Cardiac Care Associates where they gave me wrong information, and I guess I will end up paying for something I didn't even use in the first place and by something it was told to be covered by my insurance otherwise, I would never pay a cent for something out of network!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
