List of Ron Margolis's Reviews
My wife was treated by Dr. Margolis and staff for about 4 years. The doctor and assistants were professional, compassionate, and always willing to answer questions. the receptionists were very helpful with billing questions. I highly recommend Retina Consultants. The husband.
I would strongly recommend Dr. Margolis, excellent doctor. Very patient and kind. He was able to explain my diagnosis in a very simple and straight way but with all the empathy that somebody in the medical field needs. I felt very safe and confident with the treatment he advised. We did the surgery and it was a success and the healing process it's been great. I'm so grateful for having Dr. Margolis taking care of me.
Arrive late....at least 30 to 45 minutes so you are not wasting time waiting to be seen by the Doctor Ron Margolis. Dr. Ron Margolis consistently schedules too many patients at one time and his staff consistently gives the same excuse..."he is on call but the wait is not too long." Professional and polite requests to be sensitive to his patients' time as well as their caregivers has not impacted ...
Said another doctor gave wrong diagnosis. Caused confusion. Other doctor gave correct diagnosis. Not professional.
I have been seeing Dr. Margis for several years now and I'm very happy with the care he gives.
The past 3 visits have been very frustrating. They double book appointments so you wait and wait. Last time patients overflowed the waiting room and were sent to the building’s lobby. There I waited a half hour before checking in! On a recent visit I left after 3:40 without being seen by the dr, my appointment was 1:20. He is a nice guy and competent, but I am fed up with my time being disrespected. The staff seems to have high turnover since there are new faces every few months. If I arrive on time I am respecting the dr why can’t the dr respect my time?

I called Retina Consultants with an emergency on a Saturday afternoon. I am a patient of another doctor in the office. Dr. Margolis was the on call doctor that weekend. I spoke to him on the phone and he told me to come in on Sunday at 2pm. I have to give Dr. Margolis and his assistant, Adrian, the highest compliments possible. They treated me wonderfully. My fears were calmed. I thought I was going blind in one eye. Dr. Margolis explained that I had some issues with blood pooling and that it was treatable. I highly recommend my normal doctor, Dr. Scott Walter, as well as Dr. Margolis and the whole staff at Retina Consultants.
Exceptional surgeon.
I receive injections in my eye, which souds horrible, but Dr. Margolis has a friendly and calming manner which makes the whole procedure go quickly and with minimal discomfort. He is extremely competent. He talks to patients in a non-condescending manner, explains his procedures thoroughly. I have no hesitation asking questions because he answers them without any hesitation. The long waiting times in the office are because of the various steps in the procedures, not because of inefficiency.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
