I don't know why Dr Kratzer has a two start rating. My experience with him and his staff has been immensely positive. A lot of effort needs to go into minimizing the side effects of radiation treatments, and Dr Kratzer and his staff are meticulous in creating and following procedures that accomplish this. And they are quick to deal with side effects as they occur. Any questions that I had were answered quickly and completely, and the staff always showed care and compassion.

Brilliant radiologist, kind physician, is what comes to mind. Never rushed, comprehensive in his approach and explanations. Your in fantastic hands at mid state with this doctor and his exceptional staff.

He doesn't explain things well. He and his staff are resistant to answering questions from family members even when patients are weak and unable to advocate for themselves. His answers are vague and unhelpful. He is rarely available to discuss treatment with patients even at times when he has said he will be available to answer their questions. This is left to his nurses who are friendly. Kratzer is the only option for radiation oncology at MidState so you may be stuck with him if you are limited geographically.
