I was referred to Dr. Choi by my cardiologist as the "best" interventional cardiologist for complex problems. Dr. Choi was able to open up a 100% blocked artery which I was previously told nothing more could be done. I now feel great

Dr. Choi has been my moms doctor for years. He fixed a hole in her heart that was causing strokes. Throughout the whole process he was great and so sweet to hold moms hand while she cried. He knows what he is doing and has the bedside manners to top it off. We see him yearly now and mom cooks for him every time.

Went in for Cardiac Cath...today. Choi was the doc. I met him once on Dec 5th. Had no idea what to expect, nor what the resulting echo and stress ekgs showed. He barely spoke to us. After my procedure, he ducked my wife for a couple of hours until the nurse brought him in. On top of this, his handwriting was so bad, neither the nurses nor the pharmacist could figure out what new meds he wanted me to take. He may be technically competent, but otherwise avoid.

Dr. James Choi has poor bedside manner. When he asks you a question he will cut you off as you begin to answer. He actually scoffs and shrugs his shoulders at things you say. He is very patronizing. If you are unfortunate enough to get him as your physician, don't be surprised if you feel totally blown off by the end of your appointment.

Dr James Choi has poor bedside manner. Expect to be cut off when you begin answering a question he asked you. Don't be surprised if he scoffs or shrugs his shoulders at things you say. You may even feel like he blew you off by the end of your appointment. I would NOT recommend seeing this cardiologist.
