David Hergan's Online Review Report Card

I was referred bro Dr. Hergan more than 10 years ago by my physical therapist. He has repaired my torn hip labrum, meniscus, and will be repairing my rotator cuff in the fall. He is a kind, thoughtful and caring physician whom I trust completely. I highly recommend him!

Dr Hergan is an excellent surgeon and takes his time with his patients and LISTENS! My surgery was more extensive than anticipated and he and his pa kelly informed and supported me throughout the entire recovery. Been seeing Dr. Hergan for while now n also Dr. Bash.had several surgeries n trust them with my life. Also the staff .old or new has always been respectful n kind. Got hurt in 2014 n they became like family to me. I highly recommend them both. And I thank the staff from my heart for making things much easier for me

Yesterday was my first time meeting Dr Hergan. He was very professional, friendly, and efficient. No complaints.

I don't have any experience with Doctor Hergan but I visited one of his PA, who is called Kelly Sch. She examined my knee by hand and told me that I will need surgery and I may also need knee replacement (by just checking X-ray images!) She told me that " after MRI we can decide what kind of surgery you 'll need " I went to the Terry Reardon with my MRI result he told me that I just need PT after PT now I don't have any problem! Also, the staff at the MOS Middletown are very very unprofessional. I have to go there extra 3 times to try to correct their mistakes! I highly recommend Dr. David Hergan for orthopedic surgical procedures. In August 2021, Dr. Hergan completed a total right hip replacement on me at Middlesex Health. That surgical procedure has changed my life very much for the better. The pre-surgery, surgery and post-surgery steps were all well planned, carefully coordinated, highly professional while made as easy possible for the patient to understand and follow. Along with Dr. Hergan are medical and administrative support staff who work in very close, seamless collaboration with the doctor at each step. Together, this team makes for the best possible patient treatment and post surgical recovery experience.

gratitude to Dr. Hergan. For years (5 years to be exact), I finally found a doctor who took the time to acknowledge and take the time to understand my depth of pain. My other doctors kept recommending physical therapy or pain management...despite the fact I could barely walk. My friend recommended I get a second opinion after I had seen an orthopedic surgeon tell me pain management was all I needed. I was literally so depressed and pretty much felt this was going to be my life ... living in pain and nothing could be done and having sleepless nights. Dr Hergan obtained x-rays (as had my previous doctors), and sat down with me on consultation and asked "How are you able to walk?" as he showed me the x-rays and explained the severe bone loss as well as broken/chipped bone. I cried tears of happiness that he believed me and he was so sincere in saying that I must be in a lot of pain. He said, "you will be feeling better soon". He is a genuine healer and yes I definitely feel better. He has given me new found abilities and I can sleep at night peacefully. I still need my other hip replaced and am very confident in him and the entire orthopedics staff. They all guided me on expectations and were very thorough, kind and I love them all.

Since my Knee replacement surgery, I am much more comfortable! I knew by day 2 after having surgery I made the right decision. My pain has decreased and I was already walking better. Dr. Hergan has great bedside manner and takes his time to listen to me and makes me very comfortable when explaining my issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Hergan for your Orthopedic concerns.

All around excellent experience. From Dr. Hergan, his staff, and the hospital! I had surgery with Dr. Hergan and couldn’t be happier. I am completely pain free for the first time in almost 2 years!
