I saw Dr. Shelton in the inpatient psych ward at Middlesex hospital. He was the first psychiatrist I had seen since a bad experience with my first and only other time seeing a psychiatrist. He was incredibly kind and caring. I could tell he was actually empathetic and I felt immediately comfortable with him and I knew he would help me. It was my first time in the psych ward and I was so happy to have such a caring and kind psychiatrist there to make it feel a little less scary.

Dr. Shelton threatened to prescribe Zyprexa to cause diabetes, pancreatitis, and heart attacks, thus DEATH; that's attempted murder! I recovered from pharmaceuticals when they finally properly tapered and medicinal cannabis saved my life. Dr. Shelton lied to me. I never needed the pharmaceuticals.

I went into Middlesex with stress, anxiety, and depression symptoms. Dr. Shelton jumped to a severe mental illness conclusion and I was misdiagnosed as biplar 1 and over medicated. When asked to pay closer attention to my case and speak to the therapist that didn't see where he was getting his diagnosis from he refused to. He told me it would be easier if I just accepted the diagnosis. There is something seriously wrong that this guy is able to psychologically and emotionally abuse patients. I think it makes him feel powerful and in control. I've had multiple psych evals just to be sure and nobody can find any form of bipolar in me. They took me off the medication. The experience of being mistreated by this guy traumatized me badly. This should not happen when you go somewhere looking for relief for stress, anxiety, and depression symptoms. I feel he could drive a patient to suicide. Something should be done to stop this guy from doing this to someone else.
