Didn’t find her to be friendly or helpful. Seems like she pushes TMS regardless of what you are looking for, likely because insurance covers it so it is in her best interest to build that specialty. Like many other doctors in the area, I felt that she was elitist and felt superior as the doctor. Didn’t feel like a partnership could be formed, rather that she was the expert and will question your knowledge and instinct. Many of these high priced doctors are not worth the price, unless you are happy being told that you need them and the more often, the better, of course. I want doctors who work WITH me. Im moving on.

I have been treated for bipolar disorder by Dr Brown for about 20 years, and find her to be extremely knowledgeable and competent. She has demonstrated great empathy and support over the years and works with me in a very collaborative manner, but don’t ever be late or miss an appointment! She works on a tight timetable.

I have been a patient of Dr. Brown's for approximately seven years. I rate her as incredible. I am a business professional and have battled with bipolar disease my whole life. However, I never knew my issues until I reached a breaking point and recognized "my life was not" normal' She put me at ease at my first visit and was very tactful in our conversation. Dr. Brown monitors the effect of my medication constantly. When she sees it is not having the intended results she adjusts/changes the medication. She is not only a psychiatrist but a psychopharmacologist who is up to date with changes and innovations in drugs.

Dr. Brown has treated me for thirty years, using her expert knowledge she has tailored my medicines and TMS so that I can live a normal life. Prior to being under her care I lived in a pit of despair and was on the edge of catastrophe. When Life throws up roadblocks and setbacks Dr. Brown is there, she listens, makes treatment adjustments, if she deems necessary, and closely monitors the situation. I would say she is wisely conservative in her treatment, in that she does not over medicate or blithely prescribe. I feel incredibly fortunate to have her as my doctor.

I think Dr. Brown is particularly unique because unlike many practitioners in psychiatry she has an extremely warm demeanor making it easy to develop a rapport with her. This has made it much easier to achieve our therapeutic goals in a relatively short amount of time. Also, she runs her office efficiently; I have never spent an inordinate amount of time waiting for a delayed start.

I have been a long term patient and have found Dr Brown very responsive to my needs. She has been available by phone and her call service Is thorough. She is very skilled in the pharmacology for psychiatric disorders and has effectively used them to relieve my depression. I find her personable and willing to listen. On her recommendation I had my thyroid tested and found out I was hypothyroid. I am very satisfied with her care.

Dr. Brown has helped me immeasurably. She patiently worked with me until she found the right treatment and now I feel hopeful and grateful in this new stage of life that I didn’t think possible. What a relief!
