John West's Online Review Report Card

I have had two procedures done by Dr West and could not be happier. I found his staff extremely helpful and friendly, something you definitely do not see in most doctor's offices. Every time I have had an appointment the wait time has been very short.

Dr West butchered my forehead. He told me He added a line that would be there eventually anyway. Really? I didn’t go there for any additional scaring. I had to go to a plastic surgeon after I healed to fix what he did to me. Many of the reviews on this site are written by West or friends of his. You can tell by his defense of forcing clients to listen to his freaky books on tape. If they were for the patient, they wouldn’t start in the middle of a book, and the patient would be asked if that is what they wanted. Beware of West he’s a pompous showman, and a butcher.

Dr West is arrogant and rude. He could care less what the patients needs are. He leaves big scars and won’t help to fix his mess. His staff is also rude.

My name is Bob DePerry, 67, from Stonington Ct I was referred by several of my friends and co-workers to see Dr. John West. I am so thankful I took their advice. I had a substantial area of cancer removed from my upper left cheek bone area, which spread from just under the left eye to the bottom of my nose. I felt zero pain from the surgery. Dr. West is a phenomenal Surgeon. It's now been 1 week since the surgery and still no discomfort, and looks like no scaring. A true artist.

Dr. West is a skin cancer surgeon sometime you have to wait for surgery it blows my mind that people complain about a wait. When I have a Dr. doing surgery on my face I would rather the one who takes his time a does it right not rushes!! His audio books are to help the patient take their mind off a stressful situation, I LOVED it!! One of the best offices and staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He will be my only surgeon for skin cancers in the future.

Dr. West recently performed Mos surgery on me. I am so happy with the results. I found his staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. I felt at ease as soon as I walked in the office. I was able to schedule an appointment within a week and my surgery was the next week. I have read negative reviews about this office and I can't imagine that those reviews were about this office.

This is a first class practice! Dr. West and his staff are efficient, thorough and professional. Dr. West has a wonderful 'bedside manner'. Diagnosis was quick and they scheduled Mohls surgery right away. The office provides top care, which is foremost. Secondary to the issue, the office is very charming in decor and functionality. They provide coffee for those waiting in the lobby and we got some great samples of Neutrogena and Gold Bond lotion.Overall, it is comforting to the patient and the family to know that the patient is in great care.

I recently underwent MOHs surgery by Dr. West and I could not be more pleased with the care and treatment by Dr. West and his staff. To be sure, when I was first diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on my face and was prescribed surgery to remove; I began to experience quite a lot of anxiety over the diagnosis and the prospect of surgery. Thankfully, Dr. West and his professional staff were there for me; empathetically responding to all my concerns. Many thanks to Dr. West and his staff.
