Rude, arrogant, unprepared and dismissive.

Dr Duffy performed my colon resection laparoscopically in March of 2006 after a sigmoid abscess. Within 2 weeks I was walking a fair distance and recovered very quickly. I highly recommend him for laparoscopic surgery. I don’t even have any scars! Ann Thurston

I had Dr. Duffy perform a stomach reduction surgery 4 years ago. I have lost over 100 lbs and counting !!! He is fair and serious yet cares that you will have a great result. I would recomend Dr. Duffy to anyone who can"t lose weight and has tried everything else.

Dr Duffy is very competent and has extensive surgical knowledge no complaints with his thoroughness His office staff in Fairfield was responsive I had to deal with the surgical scheduler who was not responsive to our scheduling constraints and honestly his gate keeper aka office manager was the same way. we felt like they were doing us a favor by working with us Does he know his staff discourages patients? Ultimately you are hiring him as a surgeon not his staff We both felt he was

After years of being misdiagnosed Dr. Duffy found that I had a paraesophageal hernia (type 4) including gastric volvulus and his team was able to perform minimally invasive surgery to put my colon, stomach and pancreas in their proper spot and repair the hernia. I didn’t even know this condition existed. I am only 2 weeks out of surgery with a minimal amount of discomfort. If left untreated this condition has a high mortality rate. Dr. Duffy, he’s the doctor you need!

How he is the head of the barbaric surgery department, I don't know. Also taking advice on weight loss and weight loss surgery from a doctor who hasn't managed his own weight issues makes you really wonder. He proceeded to imply I was lying about my own treatment plan with a differ doctor from 2007 when he wasn't there and was not part of my treatment. He only wants you to be a lemming. And wants to punish all those who are not. He violated my patient rights and I will be filing a formal complaint tomorrow with New Haven Health Services. The impress I got was he could care less about the patient and their concerns, only about $ and how he could get more of it while doing the least about of work, and then wanted to be fawned all over.

Just am post op a week tomorrow. I had three hernia repairs. I felt very confident in Dr. Duffy and the team that did the surgery and took SUCH great care of me. His office was friendly and quick to help or get back to me. He was very clear in his plans for the surgery I would be getting, leaving both my husband and I at ease. He communicated very well with his team after the surgery and I felt I was in Good hands. Very satisfied.
