List of Daniel S. Kellner Md's Reviews
Excellent ... for Dr Kellner for my laser surgery on 7/15/22. I stayed over 1 night in the hospital as I had a very large prostate, & he was there early next day for discharge. No pain after the procedure.
Dr. Kellner addressed my enlarged prostate with a successful and remarkably pain-free HOLEP surgery. He is an excellent physician, exhibiting all the traits you hope for in a doctor--empathy, knowledge and surgical skill. This is the urologist you have been looking for.
In my view, Dr. Kellner is a superb physician. He is knowledgeable, empathetic and possesses superior surgical skills. After having problematic experiences with two other urologists, I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Kellner. He quickly diagnosed my issues and scheduled surgery within ten days of the consult. At the hospital, he visited the patient (me) prior and subsequent to the surgery. On meeting Dr. Kellner, I had immediate confidence in him, and that has been borne out by the successful HOLEP surgery he performed. I would recommend him without reservation.
Great person and more important I think is one of the best urologist in CT
Wanted to explore a urolift procedure to alleviate problems due to an enlarged prostate. Dr. Kellner was recommended by both a patient and another urologist. He reviewed by situation and advised that I was not a candidate for the procedure and recommended the TURP surgery instead. I agreed to the TURP. Dr. Keller operated nearly Dec. It was a wonderful success. By March, I told Dr. Keller "It is a pleasure to pee again." It is. And he was terrific.
Dr. Kellner's confident and capable approach to treating my problem corrected another surgeon's failed surgery and allowed me to return to normal voiding after three years of self-catheterization.
Burned twice, done with him. 1st time: when he left his prior practice, provided no forwarding contact information for treatment continuity. 2nd time, earlier this year: Referral by primary to his present practice for frequent, uncontrolled urination. Minimal tests; a prescription which proved to be ineffective. When the problem worsened, I phoned to move up the 4-month follow-up visit; moved up to an UNRESPONSIVE 1-week earlier! Shortly after, hospitalized in a 6-day COMA for DIABETES ONSET!!
He didn't listen or seem to care about what i had to say but was very forceful and brutal! When I asked why the procedure was so extremely painful he said, "I couldn't get the medication to work so I just went ahead without it." He showed no empathy or compassion, leaving me in severe, agonizing pain.
I brought my elderly father to Dr. Kellner. He prescribed some medication, which didn't work at all, so we went back. At this visit Dr. Kellner seemed impatient to end the visit. He prescribed another med but didn't pay much attention to what my father had to say, and actually started leaving the room as my father was asking him a question. We had to follow him out into the hall to try and get an answer - how rude! This second med didn't work either, and we decided to find another urologist.
He did my TURPS in 2017. I would highly recommend him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
