Dr Cardella was always personable with me I inherited him as the next Cardiovascular after being seen by previous ones in his department, I ran into a problem when as in the past I scheduled 1) a CT chest for a thoracic surgeon check up 2) an Echo of MY legs for his office also a check up 3) a meeting with him face to face about the echo.. Dr Cardella and his staff are very dismissive and non engaging before during or after patients surgeries or treatments never not once received a phone call Even after I had called multiple offices and left messages and his administrative assistant left messages, emails and a text for him or his PA to contact proxies. Incompetent really! Our mother had a severe leg infection .after multiple surgeries (2 unsuccessful with dr Cardella ) she was sent home the leg was reinfected a second surgery was performed we were told it was successful (it was not ) understandably these things may arise however at no point before during or after did Dr Cardella contact any health proxies aside from the patient herself who unfortunately was anesthetized and not always coherent After being admitted into the hospital for a fourth time because the infection still has not healed I received a phone call two months later With a update . Sometimes a call to the family or proxies on a patients status makes a world of a difference for the family members who need to make arrangements for post op home care and rehabilitation Perhaps they need additional training on patients relations and are dictated by insurance companies to not disclose information out of fear of being reprimanded .Whatever the reason is it is very unprofessional

It was a really nice experience and everyone hear was nice. They had great support if you ever broke anything.

If you want incompetence, arrogance & total disregard then Dr. Cardella is your guy - if not, find someone else. We did not pick Dr. Cardella, while in the hospital for something unrelated, the decision for my dad to have a fistula surgery was made. The fistula never healed -the dr was arrogant and rude. While in the hospital for a UTI it was decided the fistula surgery had to be opened up and looked at. We told the hospital that no surgery was to take place until we spoke to the dr - the next day we were told that Dr cardella had done the surgery & that even though he was told to call us he did not. AT that point we switched doctors to someone in the same practice. The fistula took a very long time to heal. My dad saw the new dr yesterday & asked why his hand was still swollen, he was told it was because the fistula was put in the arm on the same side as his pacemaker. AND that this can cause serious vein and swelling issues. He treated my dad like he did not matter.

Had complication. Won't recommend.

Dr. Cardella Is very kind, knowledgeable, expert in His field I know, He has done surgery on Me twice.with great results. I had been in the medical field for forty five years and a patient So I’ve seen a lot, For A Specialist He is so different He cares takes the time to listen, explains so You understand. It really is nice to feel trust and at the same time comfort. God Bless Dr Cardella.
