After an attempt to place stents, triple by-pass was the only way to go. I already had been diagnosed with an an aortic aneurysm so I went under the knife to repair everything. Dr Bonde explained every procedure and what would be done at every step with a calming way that was very clear. He and his team performed the surgery successfully. I was recovering right on schedule when I suffered a cardiac arrest. The care from Dr Bonde and his team was exceptional. Twenty seven days in the hospital (cardiac arrest and lung issues) the concern from the whole team, and additional doctors allowed me to leave with confidence of a full recovery.

I was admitted to ER with chest pain. I had stents placed before and had a minor heart attack. One to find out Stebts weren't an option anymore. Dr. Bonde explained all of the details both good and bad. But did it all with the utmost care for me and my family. He wanted to make sure all of my family knew exactly what was needed. I was certainly nervous but he made me feel like I had the best team in my corner to get me through this. The procedure was performed flawlessly and I am feeling like a new man now. I went to the ER for chest pain figured it was a blockage and another stent. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I had two blockages and Covid Dr Bonde came and took the time to explain to me and my family what was needed, and open heart was scheduled. I was extremely scared knowing what I was facing and to say the least fearful of the outcome. Dr. Bonde took the time to speak to my daughter who is a nurse and helped to alleviate some of my concerns. Two weeks later I was admitted for the surgery. I do not remember much but after the surgery Dr. Bonde was there he took the time to talk to my family and was extremely caring and considerate of them. I am now 6 weeks post-surgery and have recovered faster than most expected. My surgical scars will be very minimal and hardly noticeable when all is said and done. I would highly recommend Yale and Dr Bonde and his team to anyone who is facing this.

Dr Bonde was amazing from the consultation to the surgery to the after care. He discussed and educated me about what my surgery entailed and described to the last detail what I would be possibly experience . He was right on all accounts . The surgery was seamless and the process was flawless . I am about one month out right now from bypass surgery and feel amazing . He is truly one of the most sincere ,caring and skillful surgeons that I have ever encountered .

Myself and my husband Leroy Palmer is so grateful for what Dr. Bonde has done for him. He has given my husband a second chance at life after triple bypass surgery. I was in the final protocol testing stages for organ transplant when they found I had a compromised heart with a few blockages. Dr. Bonde reviewed the test results and urgently scheduled the procedure. Due to his calm expressed urgency, experience and skill, I can continue my journey. The surgery went flawlessly. I was on my feet the next day walking with no pain medication being used. I was told that no foreign blood was used in my surgery, which was a positive development for me. I was released six days later. At home, all went well as expected.

I was completely shocked at my diagnosis being 62 years old but after the seamless surgery by Dr Bonde and his team and the education provided all the warning signs were there. From my arrival at Yale New Haven I was extremely well informed of my condition by Dr Bonde and his entire staff in regards to having two arteries by passed , they took the time to explain the procedure. During the procedure they observed an issue with a failing Aorta Valve that they went ahead and replaced that I was born with. Today is six weeks since my surgery, this week Dr. Bonde called to check on my recovery, I was not rushed and he took the time to answer all of my questions but he took the time with me and my wife before the procedure and after also including his extremely professional staff. I was treated with exceptional care from the beginning to the end and will forever be grateful to Dr. Bonde and his entire staff

Dr. Bonde and his team performed triple bypass surgery on me July 25, 2022. I have been home recovering for about a month now. I had not been feeling badly, so the whole ordeal kind of came out of nowhere, and I was quite anxious. Dr. Bonde made a special visit to see me the day prior to surgery and explained the surgery and recovery in great detail. His bedside manner was wonderful. I wish I could remember all the names of the other doctors, nurses, PCAs, APRNs and Physical Therapists that cared for me. They were all so reassuring and kind. My recovery has gone well thus far, and I believe it is in large part due to the expertise, kindness and compassion of Dr. Bonde, and everyone who looked in on me. The follow up care including VNA and Physical Therapist has also been great.
