Dr. Adelmann is knowledgeable, thorough and willing to research what he does not know, including reaching out to other colleagues. He has spent time with me over the many years I've been his patient inquiring and offering advice about about my mental health as well as my physical health. I am comfortable enough with him to express my fears and concerns as well as make jokes with him. Over time, he has shared parts of himself that let's me know he's human and lives in the real world too. I don't mind if I have to wait a bit at an appointment because I know he's giving someone else the same exact care, concern and attention he always gives me.

Dr. Adelmann shows empathy and concern taking the time necessary to understand your issues. He takes copious notes that give you the confidence he is focused on your problem. He also gives you confidence that he is focus on you and not bureaucracy.

In a serious situation, this doctor was flippant&dismissive. My daughter was forced to visit the ER since his office failed to return a call. After no apology, they fit her in, only to announce that insurance wouldn't pay for the visit, as it was the same day as the ER visit. No apology. The doctor stuck his head in the room, insisted my daughter felt better, which she didn't, and preceded to make jokes about cheering her up by taking her shopping and saying that our own cafe gave her colitis.
