Mark J. Fletcher's Online Review Report Card

This is both a review and a thank you to Dr Fletcher! In a 15- month period of time, he expertly performed emergency surgery on a hip fracture, followed by a planned total knee replacement, left knee, and finishing with a total replacement of the right knee! For years I had denied the osteoarthritis in my knees, despite pain and even malformation of my legs! Dr Fletcher clearly explained the process needed for a complete turn around, convincing me to accept my physical reality. He and his team were there for me throughout the recovery journey. Now, 10 months after the last surgery, I am not a "bionic woman" but a happily mobile and pain free septuagenarian (with nice straight legs)! This new welcome reality is due to Dr Fletcher's skill and personable care and the support of his competent team. What more can I say except "thank you"?

Dr fletcher and his team were amazing.i felt very informed before, during, and after my procedure. After discharge any questions or needs I had were responded to immediately by his team of PHysician assistants. I felt he did a terrific job with my knee replacement and is a very kind and highly skilled doctor

I am 64 years old and had been limping for more than a year, hoping whatever it was would go away. A good friend recommended I see Dr. Fletcher. The X-Ray clearly showed zero cartilage in my right hip. Cortisone would not have worked for me. Dr. Fletcher replaced my right hip early in the morning of August 1st. I remember arriving and I remember being on my way home by 12:15 same day. It felt like I arrived and then woke up from surgery. It’s been 10 days since and today is the day I am feeling close to how I used to. The staff before and after were the most professional and caring staff I’ve ever experienced. The pain between surgery day and today was more discomfort than pain. I like not limping. I am happy again.

The decline in my hip flexibility and comfort had a significant impact on my ability to do everyday chores and also exercise. I decided to have a hip replacement after consulting Coastal Orthopedics and Dr Fletcher. He answered all my questions with true patience! I chose to have the procedure at CT Orthopedic Institute at St. Vincent’s Hospital with the Robotics. Pre-op preparation was thorough and I was totally prepared to return home. CTOI was fantastic-everyone from admissions to nursing care. Follow up with in home PT- excellent. I could text the PA with questions and got answers promptly! The Force App was easy to use and motivational. All in all, I am pain free, can walk miles, my golf swing has improved and I can play/walk 18 holes and NOT feel miserable after! I’m ready to play again the next day I feel so good! I recommend Dr. Fletcher and his team, and the CT Orthopedic Institute to anyone considering a hip replacement! It’s the best decision I made!

I was diagnosed at the Norwalk hospital emergency room, last Monday Sept. 13, 2021. I had excruciating pain around my hip & back & could not walk or help myself. I would get spasms if I moved the wrong way. At the hospital the Dr. Referred me to an orthopedic Dr., named Dr. Mark J. Fletcher. My daughter saw so many excellent reviews for him & I said that's the Orthopedic I want for me. We live in Stamford, CT. With no car, we traveled by Door to Door para Transit. When we arrived: I was not disappointed. The whole atmosphere was nice,everyone was professional & friendly welcoming me. The Physician Assistant was outstanding. He was gentle, but strong & knew just what he was doing When Dr. Mark J. Fletcher came in & helped me, he showed that he was very very experienced. He knew just what to do, how to diagnose my problem. He pin pointed exactly where my problem was. And he gave me excellent advice, and referral for, Physical Therapy. I've been to other doctors, but he definitely is one of the best. His manners, compassion, his knowledge & experience & wisdom is what stood out. I would refer him to anyone anytime. And his Physician Assistant also! The staff in general was wonderful. No long waiting at all. Very comfortable & and clean offices & waiting area. And outside is a Beautiful garden & walkway with a lake & ducks. They had kyacking on the waters. It was so beautiful just being there for me & my daughter. I'm recovering from stage 4 endometrial cancer & myeloma. I celebrate life. I thank GOD FOR HEALING ME. THERE IS HOPE FOR FOR ALL, THROUGH CHRIST JESUS. I recently had a partial knee replacement with Dr Fletcher. The entire staff at Coastal orthopedics was a pleasure to work with. Sarah Aitkin was especially amazing in helping me get scheduled for surgery in 12 days. Dr Fletcher was gentle, compassionate, encouraging and very talented. I am so glad I put my trust in their team for an operation that scared me to death, but was much easier than expected.
