MIchael Bautista's Online Review Report Card

I was Dr. Bautista"s very first chronic pain patient and have been his patient ever since. He has a vast knowledge of all aspects of chronic pain and along with that,a heart of gold. He has literally saved me from a life of total agony following upwards of 20 surgeries on my spine and lots of nerve damage, all of which led to my diagnosis of RSD. Since then, Dr. Bautista has gone above and beyond to provide me with the best treatments available. He is constantly looking for new and better treatments, as they become available. In my most urgent situations, he has always been just a phone call away. He is an amazing doctor and an amazing person, whom I consider to be an old friend. Just the best there is!

I thank God everyday that he is my doctor. He listens to me and validates my pain. I went for years with pain and no one would listen to me, but he did and I finally got a diagnosis.

Finally gave me the first bit of hope in years for decreasing my chronic pain. Really listened to me and responded like no other doctor.

I am so thankful to have Dr. Bautista as my doctor. He is very caring and compassionate and always goes the extra mile for me. He validates my pain and that speaks volumes to me. I went for years with chronic pain which no other doctor could diagnose, but after being referred to him, I finally got a diagnosis. I thank God for Dr. Mike because he is my hero and I am very lucky to have him as my doctor.

Because I live with severe chronic pain, Dr. Bautista has been a life saver for me. He is continually improving the day surgery services for patients at St. Clare's with the cooperation of all the other anaesthesiologists working there. We need more Dr. Bautistas...dr's who engage in continuing medical education, who take a special interest in people in pain (we have 100,000 in NL) and who are kind, compassionate and very thorough. Eastern Health needs to give Dr. Bautista all the support he requires to expand his services to people living with chronic pain. It is a condition that can make you suicidal if the pain is not controlled. Dr. B understands this and goes the extra mile for everyone.

Dr. Bautista is one of the most knowledgeable and caring specialists I have ever met. He spear-headed a program to treat patients with chronic pain at St. Clare's. Thanks to him, I no longer live with intractable neuropathic pain in my legs. Additionally, I phoned him early one morning after falling and pulling a muscle. I was in extreme pain. Dr. Mike took time out of his busy day to see me at St. Clare's and inject the muscle with a drug which immediately reduced the pain. This man's compassion is sincere and he always goes the extra mile for patients...including people like me who are afraid of general anaesthetics. A terrific doctor and human being!

Dr. Mike must be one of the best Anaesthesiologists in Canada. Very knowledgeable on how to put people to sleep when they are afraid just before surgery. Also an excellent and caring doctor for patients suffering from chronic pain. Accessible. Listens. Very knowledgeable. The best there is!
