After breaking my ankle, I was taken in next day at Coastal Orthopedics. Definitely an accommodating front desk staff, hence the 2 stars. However, the MD saw me, took xrays and couldn't give me any real answers. He put me in an aircast and told me to get a CT scan later that week. Most likely wouldn't need surgery. I obliged and searched for another MD. The next day I was rushed to surgery to repair my talus bone with 4 screws and a plate. The surgeon who did my surgery warned me if I had waited any longer, the likelihood of developing arthritis in my ankle would be increased greatly. Still to this day am receiving bills in the mail from Coastal Orthopedics for insane prices when they basically just said "good luck". Not very happy but this is my own personal experience and, to their defense, this was a complex ankle break.
I visited OrthoConnecticut - walk-in, and I received outstanding care from start to finish. I highly recommend OrthoConnecticut if you need professional orthopedic help. While the office seemed busy, the whole environment seemed calm and efficient. I received outstanding service fromPA- Luke McFadden. He is knowledgeable, proactive, and caring. Thank you.
Started having back pain again after 2 surgeries for the same issue with a different doctor. December 4th went to get my 10 pound dog of the couch and the shooting pain down my leg was unbearable, to the point I could not stand. Dr Brady was recommended and I went to see him. After having an MRI I had no choice but to have a spinal fusion, which is obviously very scary but I could not live in so much pain. From Dr Brady, nurse practitioner Jan, Jon the ladies at the front desk, you won't find a better team. Dr Brady and his team are compassionate, they always called me back, listened to my concerns and I was always treated with compassion and understanding. Had my surgery 1/12/22, everything went well and I'm on my way to getting my life back. Thank you Dr Brady and the entire team!I hope you know how truly amazing you are!!Frances Trantos

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND COASTAL
To quote Dr Mark Fletcher,” I wont tell you when to have surgery on your hip, you’ll tell me.” As a healthcare exec I’m overly critical of even the high quality, high volume encounters in elective surgery. Dr Fletcher took the time to understand my physical, mental ( Type As have their own timetables ) and emotional capacity to deal with surgery. He got me on a plan to lose weight, prep for surgery, and pay attention to the PT requirements. I am a very active person with plans to continuing tennis, hard core hiking, and planning strenuous and challenging vacations. So pleased with Dr Fletch and his entire staff as well as Norwalk Hospital Joint Replacement wing and the seminar team that educates you on how to manage through your first few weeks of recover. At 57, I researched clinical outcomes and was pleased to see them with the lowest infection and readmission rates in the TriState. They are highly attentive and treat each patient based on their circumstances. Bravo and I hope people who want high quality attentive medicine and value consider Norwalk and it’s now six sister hospitals. The system will continue to provide access to their high quality providers and staff - if we use them. If we don’t don’t, we miss a chance to support five star local business care that is close and intimate. If you’re thinking knee, joint or shoulder, don’t just opt into other systems on a tennis court opinion. Do your homework and you’ll be pleasantly surprised the secret is not so secret - you’ll get great quality of care and personal attention are Coastal and Norwalk Joint and Knee. Pic below is a one mile walk one week after surgery with my hiking buddy. Not bad.
Wow, just wow. Zero communication from this place. I went in for a X-ray and apparently owed $60. Never received a single phone call or bill from them in the mail prior to be contacted by a collections agency.
Would recommend all my friends and family to “Ortho CT Coastal Orthopedics”. The Entire Crew is great, kind, understanding and helpful. Dr Fletcher is very concerned about his patients and he explains all the options to you in very simple terms. Thanks again to all.
Sharing my experience hoping that this center will improve their COVID protocols. This felt like a visit to the supermarket in terms of COVID preventive measures. There were squares on the floor to tell people to be distant, and people were wearing ordinary surgical masks for the most part, but medical personal (not our doctor) regularly got inside 6 feet. An assistant to an x-ray tech tried to put a belt on me and his face was 1 foot from mine. The doctor wore a loose fitting mask that did not cover the sides of his face. I was/am terrified at the COVID risk I had to take to get my infant an xray. An unmasked infant was left to wait out in a major thoroughfare, and to fill out paperwork I was sent down a poorly ventilated hallway to a small room with no ventilation and other patients (other patients were masked, but in a small room with my unmasked infant).Long story short, if any of the people working for this center are asymptomatic COVID carriers, I felt that we were exposed due to very lax COVID protocols. Going into a medical center I would expect that everyone who isn't the doctor/xray tech would keep their distance and be much more effectively masked (N95, faceshields, smocks, etc.). For the doctor who HAS to get into my and my unmasked infant's personal space, the fact that he was wearing a loose fitting mask, not even KN95, is INSANE. If that doctor had COVID he would have exposed my unmasked infant and probably myself (wearing KN95).Going to the doctor is necessary and when we go to pediatrician, everyone is in N95, masked, smocked, gloved, w/ air purifiers to kill airborn viruses, everything recently wiped down and smelling of disinfectant. This was a terrifying experience for someone who is very cautious otherwise on COVID, I felt like I had more exposure here to COVID than any point in the past 7 months.
I had a great experience with the whole staff and the way they cared for me. Dr. Kleeman was extremely helpful in going over in detail my foot injury and options I have. I highly recommend this office and their staff. Thank you all and god bless.
After seeing my chiropractor, my family dr, an urgent care dr as well as an ER doctor, all within 4 days, my friend recommended me here. I went as a walk in with MRI results that I've had and couldn't get a hold of my Dr to read me the results. I had been in excruciating neck pain for over a week and only had a muscle relaxer prescribed which didn't help with the pain. Dr. Bast read me my MRI and told me that i had not only herniated a cervical disk but there is a fragment of disk missing. He finally gave me some pain relief and the following week I had the epidural injection and I have been pain free since then! I've had a follow up since and all seems good. His nurse, Barbara is such a sweetheart and I will not go anywhere else!!I just wish their phones would work consistently. The past few times I have called I get disconnected and have to put in a request for an appointment online.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
