Best Doctor and staff. Holly was able to draw my blood in the office, which was convenient. Tonijean explained the process of obtaining authorization for radiology testing. The staff is outstanding. Dr. Akus is a great "old fashioned" doctor.

The Staff is the BEST!!! I called on Friday April 30, 2021 to schedule an appointment as I wasn't feeling well. Holly asked if I could come in at 10:30 that morning. I said Yes. How amazing to have a same day appointment. Tonijean went through my history and recent events that occurred. Then Dr. Akus came in with Tonijean, examined me, reviewed the answers I provided to Tonijean. Tonijean drew my blood work and performed a COVID-19 test in the office. How convenient. Just being able to have all the services done in one visit was great.

I do not have a bad thing to say about Dr. Akus but his staff is another story. His receptionist answering the phone is rude and cuts you off before you even get a chance to speak. I have had many interactions with their staff in the past working for other physicians office and it completely ruins a Doctors reputation when his staff behaves in this manner. I am sure he cares about his patients and their needs but his staff does not at all. I hope that they are fired and replaced by people who actually enjoy their jobs and make it a more pleasant experience for his patients.

Dr. Akus is a great doctor. His staff is another story. Toni Jean, the medical assistant is the most rude, unprofessional poor excuse of a human being I know. Save yourself the time and energy and go somewhere else.

Staff is unprofessional and rude. Office policies that are hilariously unheard of; seemingly to extort older patients out of their money.

Dr.Akus and holly are always pleasant to be around.As for Tony Jean i could do without. I’ve never had such bad experiences at a doctors office or even on the phone with a “medical professional”. He would be smart to get rid of her before she ruins what he has going and worked so hard to build. She doesn’t act professional and is out of place. unfortunately she will ruin the experience for many.

I was a patient of Dr Akus for years. His assistant should have been run out on a rail. She'll prob cost him his reputation and business. He was kind and listened but she would complain about other patients. I was at the point of hating to talk to her at all. She also refused to phone in a refill for my diabetic meds because I hadn't been seen recently even though I had an appt in 3 days. Happy to have dumped her which unfortunately meant a new Dr. Happy to have made the switch but wish the best for Dr Akus. I just received notice of the below office response. I was not offered anything bit a 3 day refill until AFTER my scheduled upcoming appointment. The 30 policy must be arbitrary at best.

I have been a patient of Dr. Akus for many years. His kindness, compassion, and flexibility are unparalleled. His staff gets you in same day with any concerns. Tony Jean and Holly work with you to address issues and work together to get any in-office testing completed. I had concerns of Lyme disease and they scheduled me same day and completed my blood work at the end of the appointment. Tony Jean remembers each detail and I always leave the office feeling uplifted and cared about by the entire office. Highly recommend Dr. Akus to anyone who is looking for a primary care physician.

The Staff is the best. I called in the morning for an appointment, they asked if I could come in at 1:30 that afternoon. Dr. Akus listened to everything I said, he asked several questions and listened to my concerns. The staff explained the referral process and were friendly and concerned about my health and well being.

Absolutely Fabulous. I called to schedule an emergency appointment for mom who was very ill. The staff said to arrive as soon as possible. Dr. Akus and his staff spent 45 minutes with my mother. This was incredible. The office is very old school and takes the time for each patient needed. Which is greatly appreciated.
