Dr Kupur has excellent bed side manners so to speak. Very pleasant, kind and friendly. Very pleased I was referred to him. He explained everything to me and what test he would be ordering and why. He suggested a treatment for a type of cancer he has little expertise with, (not listed in his profile) and when asked about alternative suggested treatment from a second opinion by a renowned expert in this type of cancer, Kapur was quite aggressive about his opinion. Turns out, the treatment he recommended could not have worked, given the results of tests he ordered. Odd. It was easy enough to ...

Kapur is dangerously willing to recommend treatment for types of cancer he has no expertise with, and then became rude when I pointed out that a second opinion from a specialist at an extremely well known cancer institute pointed out that the recommended treatment would do nothing but waste time. The reason Kapur’s recommended treatment could not work was so very obvious from well established published studies and results from my tests that he ordered. The mistake was picked up immediately by the oncologist I now have (second opinion). Kapur was oddly willing to suggest he is a researcher. Nope. No scholarly research profile. I never chose Kapur. He was “assigned” to me when I received a cancer diagnosis while a patient at Backus Hospital. My advice: find another Dr before wasting time with Kapur or anyone else at Eastern CT Hematology snd Oncology Associates.
