List of Ashish Malhotra's Reviews
I had 3 appointments with Dr. Malhotra. Every appointment was awful. After a series of tests and consultation, Dr. Malhotra told me he had “no idea” why I have persistent diarrhea. When I reminded him that he has a medical degree and I only have the internet but that I believe I have IBS-D, he agreed. And then charged me hundreds of dollars for his expertise! The office staff is incompetent. They gave me the wrong lab requisition resulting in my blood being tossed out by the lab b/c they didn’t have the correct paperwork to process it. I actually made 5 trips to this office. The extra 2 were to try to straighten out their mistake and ask questions. They didn’t apologize, they didn’t fix their mistake in a timely manner, they didn’t return phone calls. When I arrived for my final visit, I was told they had called me to cancel the appt b/c my lab results didn’t show any problems. I discovered they had called 13 min. before my scheduled visit. Stay away. No one needs this kind of stress!
This doctor is the worst doctor I’ve ever had. I moved to the Inland Empire and had run out of my prescription medications and needed a new local primary care doctor anyways, so I started seeing Dr. Mulholtra. I had my previous medical records sent to his office, partially because some of my previous medications were new and I could not remember all of them. When I went in to see if he could re-prescribe them to me he said he had no medical records from my previous doctor, even though I had confirmed with the receptionist that my records had indeed been received at the office couple of weeks prior. He was arrogant and kept interrupting me. He also told me there’s no way he’d know what I was taking if I didn’t remember off the top of my head - he clearly didn’t even attempt to access my medical records which came in weeks prior to my appointment with him. After I told him what I could remember of my medications he said I needed a psychiatrist to prescribe them. I found a local psychiatrist and she prescribed me all my meds, except one, which she told me to go back and have him prescribe because he should have been able to. This is one of the meds I did remember to tell him about in my initial appointment with him and he didn’t seem to know what it was as he asked me what it was for. I told him, and when my psychiatrist sent me back to him, he asked me the same thing, why I needed it and what the medication was for. I’ve never had an issue with a doctor prescribing my Truvada, but this was ridiculous. He is brief, does not give you the time of day, but rather gives you the runaround. I did not feel like he cared about me as a patient at all. I will be getting a new doctor. I should have read the reviews on here before going under his so called ‘care’ to begin with. The reviews speak for themselves. He has about 20 bad ones, and about 20 good ones. Spare yourself the frustration and find a different doctor, unless you want to be made to feel like YOU should be the doctor with all the knowledge, facts, and answers.
I was the patient of the doctor for around 2 years and he never had an answer for what I had; he wouldn't even know what to give me for a headache. His answer was always the same, to go with a specialist because he would say that he didn't study for that. So I don't know where he had studied. The office staff is horrible and there is no one that can help you in Spanish.
The Doctor took the time to talk to me and explain things so that I understood. He's very patient and understanding. His office is very friendly and professional.
I want to thank Dr. Malhotra, Helen and Loraine for thier assistance in caring for my uncle. As fustrating as it has been for me dealing with insurance approvals, Dr. Malhotra and staff have helped me in providing my uncle with the best of care. I am grateful for your care and compassion.
I've been a patient of Dr. Malhotra 6 years. I'm very satisfied with their service.
Horrible Front office staff. Worst I have ever experienced . I went to the Dr office along with my wife personally to get the appointment. She gave me appointment for the one and half month period. I told her my wife does not have medicine for and she will be without medicine for one and half month, please send the existing prescription to the pharmacy. She said she will do it. but nothing was done .I contacted her on phone next day and again next day ,she sent the prescription for two medicines out of three.I again contacted her on phone, she said ok she will sent it but nothing. But like this I went on requesting her for a week , finally she said she sent the prescription . When I went to pharmacy , they told me no prescription received. I went personally again and sat there for two hours, she advised me to go home , she will sent the prescription and inform me on my phone . But nothing positive happened.. The Dr should understand the importance of front office and customer service provided to the patients . Such a bad customer service in such an advanced country is not acceptable. There is no way to contact the Dr even. I was compelled to write this due to my extreme frustration. The Dr should have a nice and capable staff at the front office otherwise the reputation of his office will be worst in the days to come.
He has no bedside manner. He's very quick to tell you your at fault for your own medical issues. Lose weight, don't eat is his answer
He is also a "Hospice Doctor". He supposedly came to see my mother on 10/13/17. He did not sign in. He did not see her. He did not leave any notes in the chart, but I bet he BILLED Medicare!!!!!
Rude doctor, has no time for you, quick to prescribe pills, his office is an advertisement for drugs, and their office is always busy with other upset patients. Waste of my time and health.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
