Starling Physicians's Online Review Report Card

I saw Christine McCray in Rheumatology in Farmington.  She was horrible. She first attacked me as if I was there for pain medication. Then proceeded to tell me my diet, supplements, and herbal remedies that I was taking for pain and inflammation was not helpful. What a terrible thing to say to a patient with arthritis pain who is trying so hard to take care of herself in a healthy manner. I know where I was and where I am today and there is no doubt that my herbs, no sugar, eating healthy to help stop inflammation, excerising, and supplements has helped tremendously with my arthritic pain. I was stunned, angry and hurt with her attitude and words. I was there because I wanted to know if there was anything else that could help in managing my pain. She never went over the x-rays taken, and low and behold I have a nodule in my hand that needs to be removed and is causing severe hand pain. (I took a picture of my hand where I received a cortisone shot, and where the nodule that needs to be removed is.) This was one reason for seeing this rheumatologist. I ended up going to Dr. Scarengello who is now taking care of this. Christine is a horrible doctor. She never went over one x-ray that had been taken at my follow-up appointment.  I had several x-rays done of both hands and feet. She needs to find another profession. So discouraging and frustrating.

I would give them zero stars if I could. This place should be a shamed how they run things. They have zero compassion, education and knowledge of the law. They allow mental and verbal abuse happen. I would never ever let anybody work here. If I could I would but zero stars for this place. Their manager Clara O'Brien is verbally and physically abusive. The worse is the uneducated COO, Lori Vinci, who lets her get away with this! So unprofessional; a huge liablity! IF I was the CEO I would get rid of both of them ASAP! When I call it takes more than 20 minutes on hold to be transferred to an answering machine.  Calls are never returned.  Five weeks after my appointment, the pharmacy has not received my prescription and a cpap machine has not yet been ordered.  They will not connect me to the doctor, his assistant does not return calls, and the practice manager has not returned my call.  Don't bother with this group, they are rude when they do answer a call and have no regard for patients.

REVIEW IS FOR THE LAB DEPARTMENTTwo stars for the convenient location and the Saturday hours (7-12), but that's where it ends. No one likes to get blood drawn but it helps to deal with friendly, capable phlebotomists rather than one who gets annoyed that you're not "popping your elbow" - whatever that means. Maybe she was just having a bad day. Guess I'll find out in the future since this is one of the few nearby Starling labs covered by my insurance.

Terrible experiences!!!  Have been through 3 providers in 3 years.  They either leave or retire.  Rude receptionists, say they've left you messages when they haven't, and spent a half an hour while someone figures out how to do an ekg.....gave them at least 4 chances to make at least one visit satisfactory, but that's it.... I'm done.

This group is positively the worst. I have rarely seen such horrible customer service, follow up or response. Even the admin group does not answer their phone. Going to Hartford Healthcare! However getting my records sent over is also a challenge!

I TRIED to report 'misconduct' of a one of Starling's appointed physicians. Whether I did or not is another question in the story. When trying to report this doctor to the Compliance Dept. I was told to stop "screaming" at her. I wasn't screaming, I'm hard of hearing...I asked for another person with some 'compassion and kindness' in order to complete my complaint of this doctor. I soon discovered they don't record the conversation (so the patient has no leg to stand on as to what they reported or didn't report). There is no reference numbers to indicate what or how they intend to handle your complaint if they handle it at all.The woman on the phone told me they handle these complaints 'internally' and by 'documenting' the complaint. This process leaves little room for the patient to resolve the issue satisfactorily and allows 'Starling Physician's Group' to team up with 'their' appointed physicians in order to work "on their behalf" NOT yours as the paying patient who was mistreated by one of THEIR physicians...

The telephone service is atrocious. You will die before anyone answers your phone call. Expect to wait days and hours to talk to anyone. I refuse to see any doctor at Starling Physicians.
