ABSOLUTEY AN UNPROFESSIONAL CARE PROVIDER STAY FAR AWAY FROM HIM Good morning Sir, I am contacting you this morning with a request and a concern. I would like to preface this conversation by mentioning that I am a new client to this group and come to you with high expectations. My associate, medical director and my physician for over thirty years recently retired and I needed to obtain a new Dr. I chose your group due to your association with Griffin hospital and the reputation that the facility developed over many years. I do understand that any new Dr. choice will come with a comfort curve and patience on behalf of both parties. I take and have taken for many years maintenance medication for sugar diabetes and cholesterol. My dealings with my new Dr. (F Peter Swanson) has been to say the least quite bothersome. I started my new client experience like any other client forms etc.… and then the initial meeting. I thought I was going to meet him chat with him and then feel comfortable prior to any care. My first encounter was hello and then proceeded with a complete physical exam, which was very complete and professionally cold. The Dr. requested that after the exam I have a blood test and a colonoscopy, which I completed. The level of communication back from him was nothing. The only report I received was from the gastrointestinal unit and from the lab providing me with my result. My first issue was when I requested a refill of a Rx that I take daily, the request was denied and never communicated to me until three days later when I called the office and asked why the pharmacy did not fill my script. I was told that the Dr. denied the Rx and requested another blood test. I complied got the test and then he filled the Rx. Second issue, I requested a refill of my cholesterol medication on Saturday, well yesterday no script had been filled so I called the office again. The response was that the Dr. denied this script and wanted to make an apt to see me to chat about the blood results taken two to three weeks ago. I at this point I was a bit irate at the lack of communication from him and his denial of a medication that I take daily for this issue. Please note that I have no medication at this point and will have to wait until (god) sits down with me. Sir, I do can understand some issues but this continuation of communication failure and medication denial is unacceptable to me. I can only surmise that I am not a client but just a patient number to this physician. I will be contacting for the last time another Dr. listed in your group to see if he would like to take me on as a client. I want nothing to do with Dr. Swanson. He has failed to show any compassion or care and can’t even pick up a phone a call his client. I am requesting that the script that I need for my cholesterol be filled today, I will contact a Dr. XXXXX who presented as an actual human being on your meet the Dr website. I can't comment on his care. But I can comment on his personality. He was on call one Saturday morning when my regular doctor was out. The answering service asked him to call me because I was in tremendous pain from a 3-day migraine headache and did not have any medication left. When I told him my symptoms, his exact words were "you interrupted my golf game for a migraine headache?". I will never forget those words.

Dr. Swanson is very knowledgeable. He has an excellent manner and knows when to refer you to a specialist. Excellent with my kids.
