List of MIchael Dibenedetto Md's Reviews
Dr. Dibenedetto is the worst so called orthopedic doctor I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. This guy is incompetent leaving me feeling like more of a doctor then he was by the end of our visit. He refuses to listen to patients concerns by repeating multiple times there’s nothing with you. Drawing these types of conclusions without barely looking at your MRI/X-ray’s, and pushing for another appointment just so he can inject you with a shot. This fool will laugh at your pain, and discredit your suffering. I honestly am sure his credentials are fake due to his lack of basic knowledge as well as his reluctance to actually look into your problems. Do not see this want to be doctor he is in it for the insurance money, and will lead you on as long as he can, so he can make a quick buck.
I had a great experience with Dr DiBenedetto. He listened. Was understanding and knowledgeable about my desire for a procedure he didn’t perform and gave me a referral to a Doctor who did. It was a very positive experience.
My husband had a shoulder repair done by Dr Dibeneedetto a year ago. It has been working great. We thought his bedside manner and staff were great. Would definitely recommend.
My husband was referred to Dr Dibenedetto by our primary physician after a fall and injury to his knee. Upon seeing Dr Dibenedetto he was told he did not have a knee injury that it was arthritis and WE DO NOT GIVE NARCOTICS for arthritis. First, it was not arthritis and second we were not there for narcotics. He then proceeded to give my husband a stainless steel knee replacement to hold so he would know what a knee replacement felt like because of arthritis. Again, no arthritis. Dr Dibenedetto has absolutely no bedside manner and is very arrogant. We do not recommend him for any orthopedic services.
My son had a motorcycle accident the summer of 2020. We were referred by the ER to the North Idaho Ortho clinic due to shoulder and back injury. We ended up seeing Dr. DiBenedetto. This was by far the worst visit I have ever had to sit through. Dr. DeBenedetto started out well by observing my son's movements while we were in the lobby, but from there it went to belittling him and lecturing about the dangers of his sport rather than offering any solutions for care. There was no discussion of pain management, PT, or follow up appointment. When asked to fill out the paperwork for work, the doctor seemed put out, called my son out to "participate" in the process (mind you he was two days post accident, on pain meds and not moving to swiftly) and then threw the pen across the desk when done. When asked about the need for a follow up appointment by the admin staff, his response was "they know where to find us." We got more from our visit to a general doctor, than this ortho specialist.
I had 2 carpal tunnel surgeries and he was fantastic !
In 2019, I was referred to Dr. D for help with severe spinal problems. I was unable to stand or walk upright, sleep in a bed, or perform any household tasks, and have been on painkillers for 30 years due to severe back pain. I had 3 surgeries with other surgeons that ended with "there is nothing more that can be done for you". When I told Dr. D this, he said that was a load of baloney. He set out to get me diagnosed and fixed, sending me to a neurosurgeon in Seattle. In July 2019, I had a 13 1/2 hour long surgery involving my entire spine, including 4 rods, 27 screws and multiple bone grafts. I am now able to stand tall, walk, do chores, sleep in a bed, go shopping, etc. I now have a quality of life that has been missing for years. I owe this to Dr. D, who refused to give up on me. Thank you for giving me my life back, Dr. D!
I've been seeing Dr. "Di" for 9 years for what he refers to as my "one crappy back" and other orthopedic problems. Over the years he has replaced both or my knees and repaired a crushed wrist when I failed to "tuck and roll." He identified issues with my hips that I didn't even know I had. He drew me a picture and darned if the x-ray didn't look exactly like his sketch. He spends a great deal of time making sure I understand what my health issues are. He's a great teaching doctor.
In 2016 Dr. Dibenedetto knew there was something wrong with my hand just by looking at it. He ordered blood work and discovered that I had severe rheumatoid arthritis that had gone undiagnosed for decades. He refused further treatment until I was treated by a rheumatologist. In 2017 Dr. D replaced my knee, and in 2018 he repaired tendons in my hand that were being destroyed by my RA. This autumn, I’ll have my other knee replaced. I can’t begin to say how grateful I am to Dr. D.
This Doctor was the most unprofessional doctor my family has ever seen. Do yourself a favor and don't make an appointment.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
