MIchael Trager's Online Review Report Card

Usually only people with negative experiences post things... I’ve been going here for years!!! And as a Nurse I’m super picky. Dr. Trager is extremely Competent, Thorough and straight forward. Even a couple of my other medical doctors see him. He’s the doctor that doctor’s go to what els do you need to hear? He’s that good! I also think highly of Gina Rupert PA. It’s rare that you will wait long in his office so don’t be late you’ll get rescheduled. He respects your time. TEN GOLD STAR UPDATE DOCTOR SAVES MY LIFE AFTER ER SCREWS UP!!!! A few months ago, I thought I was having a stomach bug, but I also had a pain under my left breast that wouldn’t go away. I went to Waterbury Hospitals ER, and they did a abdominal CAT SCAN told me it was probably a viral infection and sent me home. A few days later the pain persisted I went to doctor Trager’s office, he sent me for a STAT CHEST X-ray and did a EKG IN THE OFFICE told me I was having a heart attack, I was sent to ER via ambulance to have a emergency angiogram which turned into a OPEN HEART SURGERY BYPASS x5! God used Dr. Trager to save my life!! He’s a great doctor in my book!!!! Update: during the pandemic he sold his practice to trinity health, which was disastrous, he has since left his practice because of the changes they brought :-(.

I usually see PA's and have been for a couple years including my own OBGYN, coming in with the same complaints and also my own speculation as to what was going on. The last time I went in I actually for the first time would see Dr. Trager. I gave him my list of symptoms. He put me on the bed pressed on my stomach and literally said you have a hernia. I was like, "what a hernia" he said yup, lets get some scans and see what is going on...within two days I found out I had two hernias! I was sent to a specialist who performed laparoscopic surgery and two years later all those symptoms ....are gone. Trager is a smart guy.....really knows his stuff...does he give the warm fuzzies, maybe not-but he does know his medical stuff and displays care and concern and total professionalism - I'll take that to the bank every day of the week.

Trishna Walsh is the only person that I’ve ever been to that actually cares & does everything she can to provide the best care for her patients. She really listens & is very humble ! 5 stars for her!!! Gina Rupert is also super great, either one of these ladies would be a good pick.. if it wasn’t for them it would be a 1 star review

Absolutely horrible after two referrals one , doctor retired and the other didn’t work in that field. So I was informed by staff that if pain is that bad I should go to a hospital.

Rude front staff

My experience at the office was okay. Their follow up is poor. I needed a second blood test for a confirm of the results of the first. No one at the office will provide or correspond with me about the second test results. I would not recommend this office to anyone who is concerned about their health.

When you can see him, ok a bit condescending but i can understand that, office staff is not the best I’ve encountered!

My husband was a patient of dr. Trager who he liked and thought was very thorough. It front desk is very rude and makes you feel uncomfortable anytime you need to talk to her. In April my husband was diagnosed with covid AT urgent care and called the office to inform them of the situation and we received bill for an office visit $150. I called to explain it was only a phone call to met them know there was no treatment or diagnosis from the dr and the receptionist said well there’s nothing I can do it’s your bill!!! A dr was supposed to call me back and I have still 2wks later not heard back so I reported the office for insurance fraud and he will not be returning. Very rude and unprofessional
