Dr. Berkun has been my daughters pediatrician since before she was born (9+ years). When looking for a pediatrician, I interviewed many doctors and Dr. Berkun came highly recommended. Dr. Berkun showed up at the hospital when my daughter was born and has always been like family to us. Even under his mask, you can see his genuine smile and care for my daughter. He is respectful of me as a parent, explains everything with patience, knowledgeable in his field and is extremely thorough when doing any examination. Dr. Berkun takes his time with his patients, listens to my concerns and values my opinion as a parent. You are not rushed when you come to see him, “well visits” are at least an hour. He has always been available when I’ve needed him, even after hours! Dr. Berkun and his staff are wonderful- you and your child will be very happy with him as your pediatrician.

We've been with Dr. Berkun since our son was born almost a year ago and overall have been having a great experience. We like that he has weekend hours and he/his team are available via phone or e-mail if we have an off cycle question or concern. They've calmed us down that way more than once. We also like that his goal is to build our parenting instincts/skills and keep us out of the office/urgent care/ER for unnecessary visits. That's not always easy (I'm anxious), and if your personal tendency is high touch/high anxiety unless you've been directly seen he may not be for you. Finally, if you're a devotee of Emily Oster, you're going to get some contradictory advice from Dr. B. You'll need to be prepared to go your own way with your own resources and you can always use Dr. B as an anchor back to more traditional tactics that he's seen be successful over the years if/when needed. We really like him and wouldn't hesitate to recommend, but wanted to give some context on "fit" since your pediatrician is in your life like no other doctor typically is!

Since my 3 kids were born, the care of Dr. Berkun exceed my family expectations. Outstanding job. My kids loved him. Whenever my older daughter hears we are going to doctor Berkun, she feels happy and excited.

I can’t express how much I love Dr.Burken ! I had a prenatal visit with him and right away I knew I wanted him to be my baby’s pediatrician. From the day I gave birth, he visited the baby every day while I was at the hospital, answered all the questions that I as a first time mom had. Dr.Burken is not only a great doctor but he’s also a great teacher, like I mentioned before, I am a new mom so there’s been so many things that I did not know that now I do because of him. He will take his time and answer all the questions and concerns one might have. My baby is now 4 months old and my husband and I plan on taking the CPR class that he offers to help us be prepared. Dr.Burken is definitely one of the best pediatricians in Stamford.

The office is responsive and very helpful. Dr. Berkun gave my daughter an extremely thorough appointment - he was amazing with her the way he spoke to her and explained what was going to happened. I would highly recommend this office to anyone in need of a pediatrician. Great experience.

Dr Berkun is extremely intelligent, caring, professional and very passionate in what he does. My son Jeremy had some minor issues when he was born, so Dr. Berkun came to the hospital every day until the day my son and I left to not only check on his well being, but mine as well. After that, he had us come in once or twice a week for several weeks to monitor Jeremy to make sure he was growing how he should be and everything else. Now, my son is a little over 2 months old and he is doing great thanks to Dr. Berkun's care and expertise and, of course, my TLC. Another reason why you should have Dr Berkun as your child's pediatrician is because the nurses and staff at his office are so sweet and welcoming to my child and I and to every parent and child that go there. So, if you're looking for a great Doctor to provide excellent, top notch care to your child definitely go see Doctor David Berkun, you will be so happy you chose him as your child's pediatrician!

I found Dr Berkun after my first pediatrician did not meet my needs. Dr Berkun is very attentive and spends time with us during our visits to address ALL of our concerns. He does not rush you out of the door!! I like how he also educates us and informs us on how to take care of any situation that may arise. I also appreciate how he didn't force me to vaccinate my child in one visit and allowed me to space my vaccinations out because I was a little weary if my baby can handle it.

A neighbor recommended Dr. Berkun and his practice when we moved to the area. We couldn't be more impressed - Dr. Berkun takes a tremendous amount of time with us at each visit, and is exceedingly thorough and exacting. He is a source of practical, sensible advice based on his decades of experience. What's more, our whole family now sees the APRNs at High Ridge Family Practice for our primary care. We highly recommend this practice and Dr. Berkun.

Dr. Berkun is great, and we are very glad that he is our child’s pediatrician. He is kind and caring and always makes my child feel at ease. He also has a vast array of knowledge and experience to share and is very professional.
