I had cataract surgery with Dr Vietorisz and he was excellent. He explains everything thoroughly and listens to you attentively. He scheduled follow up appointments, gave me expert instructions for care, and I had absolutely no trouble, no pain after surgery. You can see that he cares about his patients and is an excellent opthalmologist. I highly recommend him.

After consulting with another cataract surgeon recommended by my optometrist I felt very uneasy with their entire business. So I went home and Googled ophthalmologists near me, this led me to Stamford Ophthalmology and Dr. Vietorisz. And I am so pleased I followed my intuition. From our first meeting thru the surgeries and follow up visits I was treated with respect and a very caring attitude. The thought of someone operating on your eyes can produce much anxiety, as it did with me. Dr. Vietorisz's kindness and understanding eliminated any such worries. He operated on my right eye first, the next day the results were amazing, clear vision, brighter colors, whiter whites. Two weeks later he operated on my left eye with the same results. I’ve known and have been a patient of Dr. E. Vietorisz for years! He is above all a human being and a very caring person to his patients. He is very thorough, considerate, takes his time and explains everything in detail with you. His bedside manner is extremely rare and his professionalism and knowledge in ophthalmology is beyond satisfactory!!!! Yesterday was the second year in a row I've had an experience like this. I sat in the waiting room for 1/2 hour, then a smaller interior waiting room for 20 minutes, then an examination room for another 15 minutes. At this point, the Dr was examining another patient and there was still someone else ahead of me in the room next door. It would have been at least an hour and a half of waiting. I left. It takes a long time even to get an appointment at this practice and the scheduling is not managed well. You aren't welcomed with a smile -- just "Call when you get to the parking garage and we'll let you know if you can come in". "Pearl (i.e. Purell) your hands and take a seat" Finding your way back to the garage is a nightmare if you park on level 3. I don't know how skilled the doctor is, but visiting here is distressing and aggravating. I would drive 50 miles to see someone new before i would go back here. By the way, if they send you a reminder that you are due for an appointment, don't fill out the form listing the times you are available to be seen. No one will get back to you.
