List of F. Carl Mueller's Reviews
On 12/9/19, I climbed an abandoned cell phone tower intending to jump. Got to the top, didn't feel what I expected (relief). After 20 minutes, climbed down and walked home. Was taken to the hospital by police. My wife called my long time psychiatrist, Dr. Mueller, and he visited me for a few minutes. As he was leaving, he said - no charge for tonight; I came as a friend. Upon writing this review, I'm 58 years old. Dr. Mueller is one of my favorite human beings ever. I love him and am forever grateful for what he's done to help me stay alive.
With the mental health field being as intellectually bankrupt as most of the rest of medicine and science I have found it necessary to ask my providers a question to see how dumb they have become over the past few years... I asked Dr Mueller is science real or what is real about science and he proceeded to give a 15-minute explanation describing physical objects in the real world that he said were science! All this did was make it clear that he needed help and probably wasn't going to be a productive source of help for me... He was certainly very nice but unfortunately nice is no replacement for effective and intelligent.
He's running a scam where he prescribes you something low-risk like Prozac and then babysits you for (exactly) 15 minutes during your appointment every few weeks. Most of that 15 minutes is filled with him telling you stories to prove how smart he thinks he is. If you are going there for anything more than that then you're with the wrong doctor. He doesn't delve into your case -- in his mind 95% of cases don't justify the use of his full intellect. And if the first drug doesn't work, he just shuffles to another drug and then back to babysitting and self-admiration. I think if you put him in a room with a mirror he'd never come out. But he'd charge that mirror for every minute of his time.
Front office staff was extremely rude and unprofessional when I tried to make an appointment, so I ultimately decided not to proceed with seeing this doctor.
Great doctor, very kind, professional and patient. Also, great sense of humour :)
Highest praise. Dr. Mueller has seen me through some of the darkest times of my life and coached me with compassion and complete professionalism. Cannot recommend him highly enough. The best.
Been seeing Dr. Mueller for over 20 years and can’t praise him enough for his professionalism, attentiveness and assistance with my mental illness. I’ve recommended him to family and friends over the years. Literally a life saver. The office staff is amazing as well.
He is the best!He is a terrific listener and really takes what you say and tries to include in his treatment. He is a very kind individual.
Really disappointed by the way I was treated as I was seeking help for being previously provided to much medication by a previous doctor. Dr. Mueller will not see patients who have a Medical Card, he won’t even speak to a patient whom wants to start over. Caused the secretary to become agitated because as she said “We just aren’t comfortable with people being prescribed what you are.” As an adult professional I recommend Dr Lorefice in Greenwich, CT. He really knows how to make a person feel ok and does not shame prospective new patients.
He listens, he encourages and he helped me through depression associated with difficult diagnosis.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
