Kathleen Mullin's Online Review Report Card

I met Dr. Mullin on 11/16/22 in search of relief from cluster headaches that I have been dealing with for over 30 years. Dr Mullin knew exactly the pain I have been dealing and within a half hour meeting had a path for relief for me. The whole experience from the moment my wife called for an appointment until we left was a quality experience. I am thankful for Dr. Mullins caring, knowledge, and experience in her field. Words cannot express my appreciation. Thank you, Thank You

Dr Mullin changed my life. She is an amazing neurologist with great bedside manner. I could not say enough positive things about Dr Mullin.

Dr. Mullin gives amazing nerve blocks and helped me manage migraines.

Dr. Mullin is amazing! In addition to her great skill as a doctor, she is a warm and compassionate human being, a combination sorely lacking in most of the docs I see these days.

I had the unfortunate experience of encountering Dr. M earlier in her career, before switching from NY to CT, & I can honestly say that when I first met her, I was relieved to find a young female Dr., somewhat of my peer, whom I felt comfortable confiding in, etc. I thought she was fresh out of med school, & I assumed she must be brimming with knowledge, eager to share & heal with! ?? Her downfall was, she lacked compassion & hubris, & judged things at prima facia. She also didn’t do her do diligence w/ Rxs. Specifically, I went there for pain management (& sadly, in this drug-fueled world, in the age of the opiate epidemic, a legitimate person suffering... who doesn’t even want to take a SINGLE pill, will end up on a DOZEN or MORE, just so they don’t have to write you a prescription for Rx strength Tylenol!), & I ended up on THREE more “preventative meds” that are SSRI inhibitors (an “antihistamine,” a “muscle relaxer,” & something for “nerve pain,” but they were really ALL anti-depressants!), in addition to the FIVE SSRIs I was already on!!! I was on an antidepressant/SSRI inhibitor since youth, but when I survived a ruptured aneurysm, I was put on 2 more SSRIs in the ICU, then given 2 more for pain & migraine management when I was discharged! Ultimately, I just discovered I had/have Serotonin Syndrome. In fairness, I likely had it _before_ I became her patient... & the Drs. at the other Hospital will hear the same complaints from me... but she made it SO much worse. ?? She could have healed me, but she missed the opportunity! ?? I almost lost my life for a third (? I’ve lost count) time, after surviving two procedures to correct my ruptured, & then regenerated aneurysm. She even oversaw the ordering of an electromagnetic TENS device that was NOT SAFE to be used by someone with a coil embolization (metal implant in their brain) to use!!! ?? What if I didn’t read the manual carefully, & just trusted the Dr. to order the correct device, & had used that?!?!!! ?? Worse of all, she never saw the fault in herself, or would LISTEN when I would ask her to change the course of action & take me off of these drugs, (i.e., “Let’s just give these drugs 90 more days.”)! Finally, I had to have the WORST last appointment ever, & I have NOT been to another Neurologist since (18 mos ago), outside of my Neurosurgeon ‘s Office (because I was SO TRAUMATIZED), & I ultimately ended up in the ER, where a bona fide Dr., with real world experience, SAVING lives in a Trauma Unit, was FINALLY able to save me. ?????? Dr. M has limitless potential if she can see that she doesn’t know everything she thinks she does, that we are not always right, & that things are not always as they appear. I wish her & her patients health & blessings of abundance. ?? Thank you!

Dr. Mullin is one of the best doctors / neurologists I have ever been to see. She is unbelievably warm and welcoming. With 10+ years of experience she really knows what she’s doing. She immediately identified where my migraines / tension headaches originate from and successfully treated them. I’m so grateful to have found her and have nothing but amazing things to say about her.

Dr. Mullin is the best and nicest neurologist that I have ever been to. She truly cares about her patients, and I recommend her highly.

Seeing Dr. Mullin was like a breath of fresh air. I didn't feel like I was in a stuffy office, typical office, and was significantly less nervous about treatment. I constantly worried about something being seriously wrong with me (mostly anxiety bc I was unsure what was causing the headaches) but Dr. Mullin reassured me in a way that no one else has that we would find the root of the problem and treat it. I can happily say that I have been a month migraine free &I am so grateful for Dr. Mullin

She is absolutely one of the best doctors I’ve ever been to and I’m so lucky to have found her
