Dr. Aguilar is a great Neurologist and very thorough. Look no further if you are in need of a tremendous Neurologist, you will not be dissatisfied.
I've been seeing Dr. Aquilar after finding out I have a " changing" Arachnoid Cyst. In 2017, my ENT sent me for a CT scan which measured at its largest 1.7cm. In 2021 it measured 2.4cm and I'm scared. Because at 3.0cm, it can cause permanent brain damage! She has been referring to neurosurgeons 7 in all I've seen. And they all turned me away. Stating, " it's unchanged" and I know it's hasn't been " unchanged" because I'm tested yearly. Regardless, last visit was drama. I showed the radiological reports and asked her " is 1.7 the same as 2.4 cm?" She reassured me, " I JUST WANT TO HELP YOU MARIA" repeated this several times and I said," than write the truth! My cyst has grown and your sending referrals with " unchanged since 2017"? I said, " how are you helping me when your documenting erroneously over and over?? That's helping me at all." She escorted out of her office with the promise of sending yet another referral to the 9th neurosurgeon. All 8 declined surgery " it hasn't changed size" This is what a lousy job she has done. Failed this exam big time. United Health is opening a complaint against her less-than professional practices. I know about documenting truthfully. I was a BSN, RN for 8 years. Before becoming disabled. If you have a brain condition that needs a neurologist....dont go there.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
