Charlotte Hungerford Hospital's Online Review Report Card

My mother was in the hospital for a month I would like to say a nurse named Monica worked on 4th and 5th floor was so amazing and unbelievable service to my mother . Monica also gave me more information than the doctors did about my mother to me. I would recommend her to any patient and their family or friends. Monica has a real concern about a patient getting better . That you don't see much any more . I appreciate everything Monica had done for my mother and keeping me informed. What a blessing to have met her, Monica. Being a nurse is real tough job but Monica keeps her spirits up everyday.Hopefully this review gets to the right people about Monica .

The hospital was dirty while I was there and they left blood all over the floor and bathroom after dealing with my dad. I was hung up on by two nurses after trying to ask what happened after my fathers surgery. Not happy with this place.

In & out fast

Stories of neglect, unprofessional and cracked Doctors leading to death after scalpel happy surgeons that didn't want to bother to do their jobs. If you have a family member here, I urge you to get them out and elsewhere ASAP.

I don't trust i have worked there for evs len hess is a jerk and very be littling as a director and several of the cleaners DO NOT ! clean like they should and management does not care , they wonder why there cleanliness ratings drop so low but they don't enforce anything so during to covid pandemic please becareful going to chh as you most likely will get covid 19 from there !!! also don't try to work for the evs dept and like I said Len is a jerk and does not know how to manage the place and they all treat the employees like they are stupid and or like children!! even to go as far as to take all personal cell phones and put them in a lock box for the day and you can only come get them to use on break and lunch even if you do not touch your phone at all on the floor !!

I had to go in Friday and stay the weekend during my time I enter through the ER where the greeter Kathy was so sweet and talked to me to calm me down. Then my nurse Vince was caring and understanding to my needs. He would distract me as he put the IV in so as we talked about pizza I was not feeling the needles. Then due to the seriousness of my infection I was transferred to floor 4 where my nurse Brooke had kept up on my care while juggling to other patients needs. Before long I was transferred to the 6th floor where it was like a hotel. Nurse Renee and Tech Kelly were awesome. I felt comfortable, not as scared and nervous as I was when I first came in because of the great care and passion these nurses and techs had. I so appreciate all the others in between that helped me and took care of me from the doctors to the ultrasound lady (who was awesome) to Sara the nutritionist and even Josie the floor maintenance what a great team and I am grateful to all of you. I would never be able to do your job. THANK YOU

My only real experience with Charlotte Hungerford Hospital was delivering my son there. My experience on the maternity floor was amazing from start to finish. The nurses were absolutely amazing, they got me through one of the craziest and best days of my life, and through my recovery for the few days I was in the hospital. They came in with smiling faces every single morning! Over all my experience was just amazing and I will tell everyone I know about my experience there!! Keep up the great work

The ER staff are down right rude, arrogant, condescending and inept. The nurses and aides are completely dismissive. For a hospital that lacks in all areas of the rating scale you should add the staff behaviors in the ER to the list of things needing attention.
