This place is amazing! Helped me and my family so so so much. Highly recommend. I worked with Kim and she is fabulous and compassionate. Very positive experience
horrible
This place... where do I start DO NOT send your child if your looking to get real help for your child's mental health because they will come out worse than they did going in... I've delt with CFYAF for a VERY LONG TIME....I myself went as a child they are just a bunch of snotty rude entitled bunch of Jenks that only want one thing YOUR money and insurances money 0 out of 10 do not recommend at all.
Repeatedly wasted my time for intake phone calls to tell me they only do initial appointments at 9 am... as a single parent who can't afford to lose the hours from work this is terribly inconvenient in getting our kids the services they so desperately need.... if you truly want to serve the community your in you will start offering flexibility to parents in desperate need....or at the very least tell the parents when they first reach out....
This is one of the only places in the Litchfield Hills area to offer child psychology services. In my experience, the counselors here are friendly, kind and compassionate. They have very flexible hours, and generally there's always available appointments with very little wait time. They offer a variety of psychological service's for local youth. This was an area of medicine that was woefully lacking in this region. I would highly recommend their services.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. We had an appointment for 11. On myChart (HHC’s website), it even said “arrive by 11”. We arrived at 11 and were told “we won’t be taking you today, you’re late” I said “well how can I be late if the appointment was at 11?” “You were told to be here for 10:30 to fill out paperwork” she snarked back. So why didn’t they put down my appointment was for 10:30 then? No paperwork for therapy takes 30 minutes. I took my son out of school/took the day off for this mandatory 2 hour intake for them to deny us our scheduled time of appointment. From 11-1 was our allotted time and we arrive at 11 and are turned away. The lady behind the desk was so incredibly rude I didn’t even bother rescheduling…you couldn’t even pay me to step foot in there again or recommend that place to anyone.
Center for youth and families is literally the best place ever everyone is always so sweet and nice. They literally changed my life and taught me so much. My favorite part of my week is coming here to see all the smiling faces, they make me feel so welcomed and I love it so does my family
Have been waiting for a call back from this office for over a year. Called 6 times and every time I was told I was going to get a call back from the intake specialist. They do not get care about the mental health of these children. I have left messages for the supervisor and even contacted outside help for them to give me an appointment and still nothing. We are just a number to them is right as stated on another review. I’m hoping the doctors are better than the office staff.
Loved going here Victoria helped me a lot when I really needed it might end up coming back soon
I went here for 2 years, I worked with Dr. Sahani (dont know if I spelled that correctly), but he barely speaks English and he was not helpful to me in any way. His practices for prescribing medications are not effective nor do they help to treat my disability. The afternoon counsel is also a really sad excuse for therapy. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
