I had an awful experience! Because of changes being made, I had to enter the hosp.through emergency. The echo. was done, and then I had blood work. I explained that I had an appt.with my regular doctor the next day and that his office normally does bloodwork and the response was that emergency patients always have blood work. I was in the hosp. for almost three hours after I was told that the echo exam lasted "about an hour." Then today I was to have " a remote visit" that was not successful. It would have been nice if a remote visit would have been explained to me ( in writing because of deafness.) Also every thing is explained in modern English, ignoring the fact that some of us were born almost a century ago and are not aware of present day abbreviations and terms. (Remote : another water barrier around my castle (the real spelling would be moat Also, we are checked many times for the same things, as I was this past week.)Help from a good organizer would improve matters 100%.

I love this doctor, is very straightforward and to the point, so that may be an acquired taste. But I always get the impression he cares about me and he’s doing his best to keep me alive and healthy. I highly recommend this doctor!

I met Dr Kegel in the emergency room during a very bad situation.Since that day, he has become my main Cardiologist.I have not known him for a very long time, but it is already crystal clear to me that Dr Kegel is extremely caring, intelligent and well versed in modern technology.Health care is changing more rapidly than ever, and it is important to me that all my doctors are taking advantage of all the marvelous advances available.I highly recommend!

Dr. Kegal is very patient, engaging, articulate and THOROUGH. He really takes the time to explain things to you without making you freak out about any findings. He is really easy going and experienced. Hartford Healthcare really has top notch facilities. His office staff is really great too. Best cardiologistgist around!
