Was my Dr. for a few months until I moved. No complaints. I feel Melissa Sheeler ( who works in HR at Griffin Hospital and was one of my classmates that I couldn’t stand. She was pretty but her attitude and personality made her ugly. She speaks ill of people I know many that know her they say she’s an arrogant snob. Needs to come down from her high horse. A good friend of mine is a RN at Griffin for over 10 years and heard quite a few of the staff say they dislike Melissa due to her condescending nature. Griffin should rid her as I also heard she’s nasty to applicants speaks ill of staff and management.

Do not recommend. Usually on hold at least 10 to 20 mins waiting to make an app - then they say they will call back and never do. Getting paperwork completed is a nightmare. Getting a prescription called in is hit or miss. She is nice, but shows no sense of urgency to help nor does she follow up. Staff is unfriendly. Switched doctors. Too frustrating.

Dr. Muriel is an excellent physician. She takes the time to sit and listen to the problem and has always been there when needed. Her office staff is courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Muriel.

Dr. Muriel is very patient, caring, and understanding. She’s gentle and listens and gives advice/direction without being an alarmist. I’d recommend her.

Parking is very difficult.

Dr. Muriel is a highly competent doctor who is knowledgable, patient, compassionate, and communicative. Love her!!!

Dr. Muriel is a wonderful Dr. and a total gem of a lady. She's super experienced and competent , but she is also compassionate and approachable for those patients who have questions, concerns, or fears. I truly can't deal with Dr.s and their egos being shattered by the knowledge I may have and/or the questions I may ask. Dr. Muriel really does stand out as a loving human being...who became a great doctor. She's exceptional - really.

Dr. Muriel is a rarity to find in this day and age of - "A Sea of Poor Doctors". At this point in my life, she is the only Dr. I trust and feel comfortable being completely honest with. She is refined yet never condescending, reserved yet entirely warm, and she is always willing to consider a patient's whole lifestyle while evaluating and making her diagnosis. She realizes that a person's mental health situation is relevant to his/her physical health problems - but understands that just because the patient may suffer from those types of problems...it doesn't mean that his/her physical health issues are necessarily psychosomatic. She never makes me feel belittled or like I am wasting her time and she is fair and balanced when considering what treatment is needed. She is thorough and I have every confidence that if she ever had a hunch that something serious was wrong with me, she would go beyond the normal amount of diagnostic testing to get to the bottom of it. This Dr. is very smart - and she exudes consideration, experience, grace, and serenity - all qualities which have a very calming effect on the patient. Griffin Hospital is very fortunate to have Dr. Muriel as a faculty member, as the reason I use Griffin in the first place - is because I have a serious aversion to Yale New Haven Hospital and all of its affiliates (for very real reasons) and Griffin was always levels and levels above in providing real and personable healthcare, to their patients. Griffin has changed a bit in the last couple of years and I've noticed some "Yale - like" tendencies... creeping in. Dr. Muriel practices the Griffin way and has none of the aforementioned tendencies. I hope and pray that she does not leave, for I truly appreciate her.

Both my husband and I were very pleased with our first visit as new patients. We felt Dr. Muriel really listened to us, and took the time needed to get to know us and answer our questions. We look forward to being her patients for a long time!
