Bayview Healthcare's Online Review Report Card

I’m am apologizing to my family to have chosen this building. The chain of authority is missing several key links (EMPTHY CONCERN LOYALTY HONESTY SELF RESPECT SELF REPORTING BY LAW NEVER PLACING IT PEOPLE STAFF AND OR RESIDENTS) in dangerous situations. Never contact family or resident with medical and COVID-19 issues. I truly apologize for placing extra stress and worry in your life. God please continue to keep us all protected from hurt harm or dangerous situations. I need not to included the hard loyal people who are in the medical field because they love it. It’s the only saving grace in this place. When will qualify out weigh quantity?

The staff members of every single department at Bayview are so welcoming and friendly

I would not hesitate to send my residents at Ocean Meadow to this facility! The team is very tenured and friendly. Convenient geographical location as well. Clean and bright.

The people were absolutely the best

If I ever got sick again I would come back to Bayview. The staff was wonderful!

I was at the facility as recent as Feb. 27 to visit my sister.Currently, my sister is suffering with Altzheimer's. When I arrived she was sitting at a table in the dining room alone (it was lunchtime). She needs to be fed, however, there was no aid helping her. Her clothes were filthy and her pants were wet. I could not find anyone to speak to about my sisters condition. I could only find someone from housekeeping washing the dining room floor. I feel that Bayview is under staffed and unable to provide the care that the patients on the locked down floor need and deserve. These patients are someones sister, mother, father and brother and they matter, Their care is extremely important.

5/18/19 Update to the response from Athena:Nothing you say is comforting and the lies you have posted are just that! I have seen your negligence with my own two eyes. Not just for my Mother but many other eldery residents. You are under staffed for the amount of patients you reside with special needs. The State should investigate your staffing issues and the care you promise you do not provide. Social Media is the best place to be so that loved ones are not placed in your facility to receive the unfair treatment my Mother received and the many more that are there now get justice for your lack of care of human life!So let me tell everyone about Athena Healthcare/Bayview in Waterford... NEVER NEVER NEVER bring a loved one there. We allowed my Mom to go there to get her meds right and Rehab. In the past 5 days they have let her fall 4 times. Twice on Friday and they never called an ambulance although she can barely sit or walk. Then they let her fall on Monday night and she busted her head and got 8 staples. Today we get a call that they found her on the floor but no apparent injuries but again never called for an ambulance to have her checked. I then go there and called the police on them because this is pure neglect. The Waterford police officer says that the administrator said they are under staffed and that my Moms falls do not constitute a criminal offense or neglect because they never promised one on one care. They promised 24hr care and according to them "Their dedicated team of professionals prides itself on the quality of care and quality of life they provide to the residents" which is disgusting to even write cause of all the damage they have caused my Mom. We were told Mom would have 24 hour care and would be well taken care of, charging $500 a day!!! She has lost more weight, they never got her meds right and has had multiple injuries from them being under staffed. But yet thats not considered a criminal act for the police!! My advice to anyone that runs into this or anyone that suspects negligence please Report them to the State and the Department of Social services for elderly care. This place has 37 patients with Dementia and Alzheimers all with special needs and only assign 4 aids per shift, sometimes 3 for all 37 patients. Oh and the Administrator told my brother they were adequately staffed yet she told the police they were under staffed, what does that tell you?! They never do rounds cause I have been there multiple times 11-12 hours straight and they dont care who eats and who doesnt and who ever falls they find hours later (also seen with my own 2 eyes). Be very careful where you put your loved one and spread the word so no one goes through what we went through. This place will definitely finish your loved one off (to put it lightly)!P.s. AND DEAR ADMINISTRATOR OF BAYVIEW KEEP YOUR LIEING GENERIC RESPONSES OFF MY POST! ITS ALL ABOUT UNDER STAFFING FOR A HIGHER REVENUE FOR YOU! SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!

I am so very pleased to say that the care my husband had during his stay at Bayview was excellent. Always with a smile, friendily and very helpful. I would always recommend Bayview. The Social Worker; Mary Molish who was so helpful, the receptionist; Marion, Karen; from admissions, the PT's ; the OT's , the nurses, the aids, the laundry personnel to the cleaning staff, and oh, the kitchen, who put out such good food. If you didn"t like something, they would make something else.

Bayview is dirty, under staffed, disgusting food, should be shut down.

My uncle resided at Bayview for a few months. He was special needs and I was so scared when he first went there not knowing what the care would be for him there. Every person there were wonderful! My uncle being a special needs patient was not an easy patient to care for and everyone there treated him with such love as if it was their own family! He recently has passed away but I could honestly say he was content with his stay at Bayview and every employee there!
