List of Jonathan I Telsey's Reviews
I showed up on time for a follow up exam and was told by the front desk that I had no appointment that day, despite receiving a confirmation text for my appointment. I was told my appointment was rescheduled for another date & time without my knowledge or consent. The "office manager" informed me that I was notified by mail of the change and that the office cannot be held responsible for the postal service's failure to deliver the notification. She said the computer gave the date the letter was sent and said the the confirmation text I received was a computer "GLITCH" and that if I wanted her to, she would pursue the matter with HHC IT Dept. I was treated like I was some kind of idiot which is far less than I deserved. This is not patient centered care!
Very rude and did not believe or care what I had to tell him
I was diagnosed with high risk advanced prostate cancer six years ago. Dr. Telsey was my treating surgeon. He was always courteous, honest without mincing words and exhibited great concern for my physical and mental well-being throughout that trying ordeal. My only regret is that he felt it was time to travel another path and left the State of Maine. Maine’s loss was Connecticut’s gain. Be thankful you have him. Six years later I fully expected my cancer to have returned. Today I received my latest bloodwork and the cancer is still undetectable. Thank you Dr. Kelsey.
Mr. Telsey is curt.....rude.. .and seems he couldn't care less about my concerns or questions. Made me feel like i was in his way and wasting his time. Horrible attitude and Doctor
Dr. Telsey is a Great doctor, as well as a nice and caring person. When I was in the hospital with acute kidney failure, he came to see me, and told me not to worry, that he would take care of me, and he did. I had a Turp surgery performed about two months later that saved my life. I am still his patient. and always will be. I can not Thank him enough for what he has done for me. I would highly recommend him to anybody.
The doctors may be knowledgeable but the office staff is horrible. Office administration is nonexistent. They treat patients like we are at a clinic. The doctors have given up their responsibility as physicians and have allowed administrators to besmirch the practice of medicine and their reputation. This group is non-functional.
Dr. Telsey replaced Dr. Frazier who had been my urologist for the last few years. I was very impressed by his knowledge, bedside manor and over all attitude toward my well being. While I elected to have my surgery at John Hopkins for personal reasons I found him supportive and willing to take on my aftercare post surgery. I can attest for his excellence having worked with literally thousands of doctors in my 25 year at Pfizer.
I had a second appt with Dr Jonathan Telsey today, hoping he’d allow time for my questions & be more interested in me & my concerns than last time. He was no different. Both times I saw him, I felt as if I was in his way.
Very knowledgeable and precise approach to solving a urological problem explained in layman's terms as well as a good listener to make the patient feel comfortable and involved in the process. Tku.
I was diagnosed with kidney stones. And one lodged in my uretera. Dr Telsey had me promptly taken care of. Surgery was scheduled within the week. Although I am still having problems he is on top of trying to find the root of the problem.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
