Face masking was mandated at the Waterford office. Lisa (check in), Lorinda (office manager), Karen (medical assistant) and Dr Gates all stated masking was required per State of CT. This is simply not true.

Great doctor...He is very uncommon being that he has common sense. Down to earth and takes time to explain things to in a simple way. I have to add that at an appointment about a year ago we were talking about a potential pandemic because of documentaries I was watching at home. He said word for word " there are not enough ventilators for the country and people would die". If my primary doc in a small CT town saw this coming why didn't the people in charge? Jay

Dr. Gates, is the kind of doctor that instantly makes you feel comfortable the minute he starts talking to you. I have had a difficult time finding a PCP. My search is over! He is FANTASTIC. I thank you Dr. Gates for being you.

Dr. Gates is knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, and kind. I have known him for many years, both as my Aviation Medical Examiner (AME), and later as my primary care physician. Honestly, he is the main reason I really don't mind getting a routine physical exam. He has great "bed side manner," and I always enjoy talking with him about fishing, while he does what he has to do. He really cares about his patients, and has a passion for his profession ... and I admire that!

First visit to set up a PCP after relocating. Good experience; no wait to speak of, all covid protocols adhered to and most importantly the staff and physicians are really nice folks.
