Uconn Health In West Hartford's Online Review Report Card

UConn pediatric dentistry sucks. I loved it when they used to be at ccmc. Now they are all lazy. They no longer call to remind you that you have a appointment. They also don't even contact other dentist office just in case your child needs surgery. Instead they expect you to call a list of out of date numbers. I'm very disappointed with UConn pediatric dentistry. They also don't help those with disability. My son is suffering all because UConn pediatric dentistry want to be lazy.

DR. Lyla is awesome! I kinda got the impression that she is all ears and thinks the issue at hand thoroughly. Her and the UCONN HEALTH Department found an life threatening issue, addressed it immediately and I’m now in recovery. I would go nowhere else!

I've had excellent care here. Lyla is very thorough with my health. I came here from a horrible doctor and I'm much happier here. They've never been late and all appts have been rushed. I definitely recommend Lyla. A. Natt she pays attention to detail.

I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. David Arguello at 65 Kane St in West Hartford, CT for my severe anxiety (internal medicine). This appointment was made a month in advance as it was a follow up regarding my medication/dosage. I arrived at the office at 3:45PM (15 minutes prior to the start of my appointment time) and at 4:38PM I was still sitting in the waiting room. I had left my nursing job early (which is not allowed) to make it to my appointment on time and knew I had to be back at work by 5:15PM for my second shift, so I asked the front desk lady how much longer she believed it would be as I needed to get back to work. She came back and told me the nurses said there is NO rooms available and it would be another 20 minutes before I’m called in and then another 30 minutes of waiting for the doctor in the room. I immediately got up and walked out because I was so frustrated that my 4PM appointment consisted of a 2 hour wait and I felt myself about to have an anxiety attack. Instead of having my attack inside with other patients and staff around, I decided to step outside to collect myself and start heading back to work. Before I could reach my car, I began to start breaking down and having a severe panic attack in which I started screaming and yelling about how frustrated I was about what happened in the parking lot. I realized that my behavior was irrational and was not “me” so I took my medication to calm down and sat in my car. As soon as my medication kicked in and I started to calm down, I turned on my car and left, with no intentions of coming back or writing a review. Then, as of this morning, I received a call from UConn Health and it was Dr. David Arguello himself calling to ask me what happened. I explained to him what I experienced and he apologized and said that the information I was given was inaccurate and that there was a room ready for me when I asked. Instead of helping me reschedule my appointment or make up for the wrong information that was relayed to me, he told me that my behavior in the parking lot was unacceptable and that it wasn’t tolerated. I will not be coming back to UConn Health with this kind of treatment when I did everything I was asked and was very polite to all staff. Me yelling in the parking lot was a bigger concern to them then the misinformation I was told by the staff or the 2 hour wait time when I already had a scheduled appointment a month prior. This is UConn Heath people.. just sad

I'm so glad I changed to a different provider. They don't care about their patients and don't take their job seriously. We've had enough of their attitudes treating us like we are bothering them.It's impossible to get an appointment and when you do ask for one it's like pulling teeth.Just go to the Urgent care. Most pathetic excuse for a healthcare that I’ve ever had to go through. My Primary decided that just listening to my lungs is considered a physical as well as completely ignoring pretty much every issue I brought up to her. It took me a month and a half to get this appointment during that entire time I was incredibly sick with bronchitis calling her multiple times because I literally couldn’t breathe the attending physician said to “just go to urgent care” feels almost criminal

Dr Varma at the Primary Care Office is a joke. I had been going in there consistently seeing the other PCP Dr. Moss which was more helpful while I was dealing with a sudden onset of multiple health issues. While nothing came up in my blood work, the swelling in my hands, feet and face along with the fatigue and many other symptoms had me so concerned and run down, I was adamant about going in every time they were at a peak. I had SPECIFICALLY requested to see the other physicians when Dr. Varma had walked in. I asked where Dr Moss was and she kind of shrugged me off. I told her I was there to to discuss my on going symptoms with HER in hopes to find more testing or get a referral to a specialist that may have more insight. She barley looked at me, asked any question or spoke. She was staring at her computer system and turned to me and asked me if I need to see a Psychiatrist. HOLY SH***. I MIGHT NEED ONE AFTER THAT COMMENT. I literally walked out and never went back to that office. Dear Dr. Varma, What psychological issues cause swelling in the body? It's absolutely insulting and irresponsible for you to throw that in someones face within 2 minutes of walking into a treatment room with someone you haven't spoken with. To dismiss someone who is clearing suffering from a slue of symptoms as depression seems typical of doctors who find nothing on blood work.
