Perhaps it was a personality conflict but I will never visit this doctor again. Not only does he have the personality of a dead fish, the office staff is incredibly rude. Trying to get any response from this doctor or the staff is vurtually non-existant.
I only gave one star, because I can't give negative stars. I have been a client of this pathetic clinic for several years, and while Dr. Carpenter is a decent person, his staff treats clients so rudely, that it makes them the worst clinic in the area. To say that they are "country" would be an upgrade. The facility is dirty, and the desk staff are "always" amazingly rude. Just today, I called to make an appointment with my primary (Dr. Carpenter) and was told that they couldn't see me, because I was in a car wreck. They said that they would have to forward me to another Dr. In any other business, if you were to forward your clients elsewhere, there would be no reason to ever go back to them. So, they are fired, and I suggest that you run from these people. They are pathetic, and worthless, and because a subterfuge between them and a x ray facility in their building, I was physically abused by the local police, and have a pending 1983 civil rights case against the local police and the x ray facility. Until today, I have resisted my attorneys desire to name Dr. Carpenter as party to the suit. Now they will be added. I only gave one star, because I can't give negative stars. Complete misdiagnosis and NO follow up. I ended going on Web MD and did a self diagnosis and everything turned out ok.
My first visit with Dr. Carpenter will definitely be my last. I went to him with very specific symptoms and felt he did not listen to me or my symptoms. He ran a number of tests which seemed at the time and turned out to be completely unnecessary. He never followed up with me to see how I was feeling after seeing me and putting me through all of these tests. When his nurse called me with the results of the test (which were normal) I asked what the next step was since I still had symptoms and she said "I don't know...maybe call the doctor again?" It is so unfortunate that when going to a doctor, you feel you are just another paycheck and not a person. I would definitely not recommend Dr Carpenter.
He regulated my blood pressure medication after other physicians failed to do so for several months. That is just one example. He really stays on top of my health and well-being.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
