I was there tonight from 5pm till 9:30 pm. Very slow very unorganized and the nurse that was a guy with blue eyes was rude. They called me after 3.5 hours and dr only check my situation for less than 5 minutes then again they said you need to wait for around half an hour to write your prescription. That was horrible. I will never go there again. I have headache now plus my issues that I had before going there.

So far, outside of the Docs, our experience at G'town hospital sucks. My partner had surgery yesterday. Prior to surgery, when she was admitted on Monday, they put her in a converted closet, with no ventilation, and no bathroom. She finally got a private room on Monday night. Since her surgery yesterday, the nurses on her floor, save one, have been generally non-responsive to her needs, including forgetting to feed her, and consistently ignoring her call button. Today, she needed help and no one showed up for almost 1.5 hours. No compassion, lots of attitude. I've been around medicine most of life, and have never seen such a blatant disregard for patients as I have the last 3 days.

Don't go to the ER if you really need help,you will wait for hours and by that mean over 6 hours even if you have surgical complications from this hospital, not a great experience,not staffs fault but horrible system here

I brought my mom to the ER, and this is the first time out of all the hospitals we been through that we wait more then 8 hours to be seen by doctor. We could of gone to any hospital in fairfax but due to her disease and since this is the place where her doctors are we came here. She hasn't ate nor drink water because because they told her that she is going to get blood work. This is too much of a wait and how long do we have to wait for her to be seen as a priority? she is crying and complaining about her pain. We understand there is a wait time and there other priorities but at the same time see if she can be put on any medicine or something to reduce her pain.

The labor and delivery department have angel’s working there. I want to start by thanking Dr Landy,Dr Ekricson, Nurse Hannah,Annie and so many of them I can’t remember their names. Thank you all,am super grateful. May God bless you all.

Doctors are friendly and very knowledgeable. The only problem is that the staff and online appointment system are terrible. You can't schedule an appointment online via the medstar website or app, which is very inconvenient. If you call sometime wait time is very long. Doctors schedule is so busy you sometimes have to wait for months for appointment depending on which department you need to see. Overall experience is just okay, but management need to work on their appointment system and office staff.

Sept 2022 my daughter a freshman in Georgetown University went to MedStar emergency room late at night with flu like symptoms. Waited for hours without being attended just someone swap for covid test in waiting room and she filled some paperwork. After several hours she had to ask to take her out of que and leave in the middle of the night . After a while we received five thousand ...bill with a list of several different lab work which they sent directly to insurance and and asked us to pay close to 3000 out of pocket for the things they didn't do . Whole thing was signed by Dr. Kerry L Layman Since then we haven't got any clear answer. Ultimate fraudddd.

I would like to give a huge shout out to the ladies at the radiology department (Dominica and Taemisha) they went above and beyond to solve an issue that I had. They spent 30 minutes with with me and got it resolved. These ladies are fantastic. Keep up the good work and thanks again for everything!!

My friend has a brain tumor that needs to be operated on very urgently. To my astonishment she herself had to coordinate a date for brain surgery with neurosurgeon and plastic surgeon!! The schedulers for the surgeons we’re fighting with each other each blaming the other. Terrible!!!

I took my blood work and swabs test I have been in the ER since 9:30 I ask to see if the doctor will come out the nurse sat there and Said I will let the doctor know and she sat there for 1hr this place is not safe for people who are patient in ER care I don't think I want to come back here. And I just Left from urgent care at 7 pm they don't even have cab voucher for Medicaid
