List of Amy L. Burke's Reviews
Excellent doctor with exceptional care. Very warm and caring and takes time with her patients to get to know and understand them. I have moved from the area but drive a long distance to continue to have her as my doctor. She is worth it.
My doctor retired from the practice and I tried this new doctor. She did not listen when I told her my preferred monthly pill prescription per my previous doctor visits. Instead, she insisted I had high blood pressure and gave me a prescription that worked well with patients with HBP. The prescription ruined my skin and caused other serious problems.
Great doctor
I was a longtime patient. Dr. Burke gaslit me into thinking my ailments were mental. In reality, I ended up having an undiagnosed physical illness. Way to go, Amy!
Dr. Burke used to be amazing. And then, she started believing that she was always right. Got a diagnosis completely wrong, which screwed up my life for nine months. She’s arrogant and horrible. The residents actually got closer to my diagnosis than her.
I’m sad to say I cannot give dr Burke a very good rating. I went to her for about a year during which time I was going for blood tests every week because of a medication I was. I had to leave her practice because I was moving out of town. Within a couple of weeks of moving I was rushed to the hospital in a coma. They said I had an infection that had spread through my entire body. My husband was told he should “make arrangements “ because I wasn’t going to make. They asked him when was the last time I had been to a doctor? He told him that I had been seeing a doctor up until a few weeks before because we had just moved there. They told him whoever the doctor was should have discovered the infection when I had all the blood tests. I was in a coma for six weeks and by the grace of God and several physicians who wouldn’t give up on me, I pulled through. Unfortunately I ended up in the hospital for 143 days. I would never recommend Amy Burke to anyone. I hate to say this but I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I went through because of a doctors neglect.
Had some visits with her that were good at first. The last few were just plain horrible. First, she is ALWAYS late. After 15 min past your appointment or sooner, bug the staff to be seen because you'll end up being in the lobby forever if you don't. This last time I saw her, she came out into the lobby, barked some orders to the staff, then stormed off -- during the time she was supposed to be meeting with me!!!! Also, she does not let you ask questions. She'll say she has other appts
I called this practice to see if they accepted my insurance because it changed and it's been extremely difficult to find a doctor who accepts this insurance. The receptionist was rude and told me I had no idea what insurance I was talking about even though I was reading and wanting to give her the information from my card to her. She told me I had no idea and this was not her problem. Patients aren't going to want to come to a practice when the first person they talk to is a rude immature person. Not only did she talk to me like I was two years old but she also hung up on me.
Unfortunately I had to leave my GP because I moved to NYC. When I moved back they were not accepting patients any longer and I had to find a GP. I have been diagnosed with ADHD by several doctors. Dr. Burke will not prescribe me medicine I was closely monitored with by another doctor for over a year because I had an incident years ago as a teenager. She told me to come in and take a urine test to prove I was clean before she would give me medicine. My urine was clean (several times). She made me feel stupid. "I am scatter brained and hyper too." I had my old doctor send my files and explain I was closely monitored and this medication was working. Their office doesn't care about me at all. I once called with symptoms to come in and get checked out and they told me something was going around to stay in bed and drink fluids, turns out I was immobile for a week, they wouldn't let me come in! I hate this doctor and her office staff, I will leave as soon as another GP is accepting new patients. DO NOT COME TO THIS DOCTOR STAY FAR AWAY
Very rude terrible bed side manner and zero compassion

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
